Solo female traveler review. Cons: no peep holes (which I dont reccomend for women who are alone) the room i was in had one window but not in the bedroom area. It was in an empty backroom which I guess can be used as a luggage storage. The problem with this that the window faces other hotel windows in a circle like fashion. This set up allows no natural light to get in or fresh air. It honestly felt like a jail to me. Also without the sun to let me know it was morning I would often sleep in due to jet lag from nyc. There were many days I just stayed in because not being able to see outside I wasnt motivated to go anywhere and just slept. Pros: great staff, clean room.

Pleasant hotel with a very comfortable lounge! Staff were welcoming and very kind to accommodate your needs. Nice and quiet area. Easy to travel to the main spots in Barcelona.

Very nice little hotel. Clean rooms, convenient location (a subway station is almost next door), friendly staff. After reading reviews I’ve booked a room with the breakfast option and was extremely glad I did as their breakfast was really good.

Great Accomodations in Barcelona
I highly recommend Hotel Via Augusta! I am always worried about cleanliness, but the hotel was very clean! Everything was great! The staff were all very kind and helpful! They have free tea and coffee and hot chocolate available to you after breakfast is served, It's in a good location. We felt safe. If you are a walker, then you can walk to some sights. We walked to Park Guell; it was 30 minutes uphill but doable. We utilized buses as well. I definitely recommend!

El hotel está en una excelente ubicación al lado del Barrio de Gracia y a 1 minuto de la estación de metro y bus. El lugar estaba limpio y la mayoría del staff era amigable. Desafortunadamente mi check-out fue una muy mala experiencia. Necesitaba ayuda con un taxi (porque mi Uber programado canceló de último minuto) para llegar a tiempo a mi tren rumbo a Madrid y el dueño estaba atendiendo el front desk. Él fue despectivo y usaba un tono grosero conmigo a pesar de ver mi frustración y urgencia. Lo más decepcionante era ver que a los otros huéspedes los trataba con amabilidad… tuve que correr y buscar otro medio de transporte por mi cuenta porque no me ayudaron.

Good, but very rude staff at checkout.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, excellent location too. The lobby was modern and aesthetically pleasing, the room smelt lovely and most staff were friendly. We had a lovely stay until checkout where the man was very rude and not helpful, we had been told if we got the smaller breakfast (croissant and a drink or toast and a drink) it would be cheaper around 4.50 euros but they charged my friend full price, 11 euros and blamed it on us, when no instructions were given that we had to tell staff at breakfast which one we'd gotten or asked what breakfast we had. The man at checkout was extremely rude and refused to charge my friend the lower price and said it was our fault. So be careful if you stay and want the cheaper breakfast. If it wasn't for the bad checkout experience we would have given the hotel a 5 star experience.

Noisy / Backyard / Small room - OKAY for a night
Nice room but much smaller than shown on the picture and you could not open the window without the neighbours looking at you from the backyard (the view is not nice either) and it is super noisy as well. On arrival I was told breakfast is included which apparently wasn't and I was charged additionally. Which I don't mind as long as it's communicated clearly. At the checkout the staff at the desk made a racist comment about Germans which I didn't like at all.

We were in room 401, room was excellent, large windows that open up very wide, also had air conditioning. Beds comfortable, cleaning very good. But staff AMAZING, nothing was too much trouble, very helpful and knowledgable. I would definitely stay again. Location was good with easy access to everywhere. Thank you to staff fir making this an excellent break

Worth The Trip
They informed that they didn't have the room I booked, which was a single room, so they upgraded it for free. Check-in was easy going, the crew is bilingual which helps with my lackluster Spanish, and everything was exceptionally clean. I would 100% come back here next time I'm in the area.

We chose this hotel because of its location close to our family. The room we were offered was small and dark with no good view. Without problems they changed us to a better room with a view of the street. Breakfast is good.

Cozy little hotel room. Sufficient space for one traveller. The mattress can be better. Love the large bathroom coming with a big window, where there is natural sunlight, bright and clean. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Check in and out process is smooth and fast. When I left in a rush, the hotel staff help me to call taxi service that arrive in a moment. Appreciate it.

This hotel reminds me of places my parents would take me on a family vacation. The lobby is lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. It's in a nice part of the city, near public transport, plenty of available taxis, and walkable. The room itself just didn't really wow me. I was happy that it's newly renovated, with keycard electricity, and nice views. It was good for resting; it's a quiet neighborhood, the bedding was comfortable and the windows had blackout curtains. Other than that, the towels were really rough, the bathroom didn't have tissues or soap, the walls were thin, and - worst of all - there was only one electrical outlet in the entire room to charge cell phones.

The hotel is in a great location, handy to two underground stations, buses to tourist areas and great local food market. We would stay there again on our next visit to Barcelona. The breakfast was very good.
