“Great place”
We read the reviews and it seemed good. We liked the name so that swung it. I stay in hotels a lot so i generally expect a lot. This delivered. It was a very nice surprise to find that the hotel exceeded my expectations. It was close to the action, the staff were perfect and it was very clean. The room service was good value too - not something i ever thought i would say about a hotel. If i was being picky - the tv reception on the local channels was poor...but it was great on the english (fox) channels. You dont go to Barcelona to watch TV anyway! Would i go back if i was in Barcelona again? yes, like a shot.
“Late in Barcelona”
Getting off a cruise ship in the mornning we left our luggage at the hotel and cheched in. We were told we could go to the room by 14:00. The room wasn't ready until 16:00, two hours late. No accommodation or explanation was made for the delay. Manager seemed unconcerned. I would recommend the Roger De Luria but would make sure they were ready for you. Staff was nice and room was great for the price.
“Excellent hotel and location”

“Tired old dowager of a lodge”
Hard to get excited about this musty old lady of an inn. I couldn't help thinking if I were staying in the USA at these prices I could be at the Four Seasons! Location, bathroom and room size were a plus and if I had stated more than one night I would have used the Jacuzzi style tub (assuming I could have translated the instructions). However the 4.5 star rating was at least 1.5 stars overated. English speaking staff screwed up my taxi pickup in the morning, but apologized for their disappointment. About 4 blocks from the far east end of the Ramblas. The Palace next door was probably a better bet.
“Great Location & Fantastic Customer Service.”
The Hotel Roger De Lluria is in a great location. Close enough to be in the mix but far enough away from the madness that is Barcelona. It's around a 10 minute walk from the Las Ramblas & Plaza Catalunya & probably 20 minute walk to the Sagrada Familia. Throughout our stay, we found the staff to be very friendly & helpful. Rooms were cleaned & made up daily. The room we stayed in was a very good size (they upgraded us from a standard twin to a deluxe room) The room itself included a minibar/small fridge, an electronic safe, 2 comfortable beds, a desk & a 50inch plasma tv. The bathroom had a massage bath...yes, a massage bath which came in handy with all the walking we were doing. There was also a small plasma tv in the bathroom!! Our only complaint was how warm the hotel was (even in March) we contacted the desk as our room wouldn't cool down & were told that the unit is old & will only warm up!! We slept with the french door open which wasn't a problem to be fair. I suppose this was probably specific to our room as I've read no mention of it in other reviews. Overall though, I would definately recommend this hotel if you're staying in Barcelona.
“A nice hotel in great location, roomy accomodations, friendly personnel.”
We had great time staying in this hotel. We booked a 3-bed room, which had plenty of room, spacious bathroom, TV and a minibar, which we used as a fridge. The service was very nice, the room was promptly cleaned while we were out. The staff was helpful with booking trips and restaurants. The location is great - the hotel is close to many sightseen spots, while a 5-min walk to Urquinaona Metro station would take you anywhere else in Barcelona. At the same time, the neighbourhood was safe and queit. We had absolutely no distrubances at night. Sometimes I could feel slight vibration from what I thought was the elevator, but most likely were passing undeground trains. I am still not sure. It was barely noticable though. Overall, we a had nice and comfortable stay for over a week in this hotel.
“Fab Hotel”
The staff at the hotel were pleasant and freindly throughout our stay and were very happy to recommend restaurants and things to do and see. The rooms were always kept clean and were comfortable. Barcelona itself is an amazing city we throughly enjoyed our stay even though we had a day of rain. We would thoroughly recommend a trip to Barcelona and a stay at the Roger de Lluria. :)
“Would definitely recommend”
Very happy with hotel choice, which was booked as a result of Expedia recommendations. Ideally located - very easy bus transfer from airport - especially if you use a wheely case. Hotel is a couple of blocks from the main square - Placa Catalunya. The staff were very friendly, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Everything was provided for - from robes to shoe shine brushes. Traffic a little noisy but comfy beds so slept well. Breakfast in the hotel was expensive (around 18 euros) so ate out each morning.
“very good value for money”
good location, walking distance from all major attractions, staff very friendly.creats good ambience.bed could be more comfortable.overall highly recommended.
“Brilliant Choice!!!!”
Found this hotel on expedia, and checked it out on a few other sites also. I wanted a place that was central in Barcelona, but also to be in a good area. This hotel certainly delilvered! I did not have any complaints about this hotel, and can certainly say that the stay was worth every penny. It was close enough to a main square, but far enough from street noises. Buses, trains and site seeing tour buses were very close to the hotel, as were shops. Some places of interest were also very close by. Definately worth the stay, but would go there again should I ever visit Barcelona again.
