“Great location”
Great location. A short walk to Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas. Easy to find the hotel from the Aerobus drop stand at Plaza Catalunya. Reception spoke English, which was a plus. Rooms were very clean. Our room was a little tiny, but quiet (we faced the inner courtyard, but we were hardly in our room, so it didn't matter much.) We did not partake of the breakfast offered as it was a little pricey but there is a great little coffee shop next door that was reasonable and had great croissants. Felt the price was reasonable. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we were ever in Barcelona.
“good location and value”
Good location near La Rambla. Hotel room is clean but quite small. The shower was excellent. AC and heat were not on during our stay (Oct 26-29) so we needed to open our room window. Some noise but not disturbing. Eating breakfast at the hotel was 15 euros. There are better eating places close by. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would suggest staying at hotel if interested in good value but no bells and whistles.
“Close to Rambla”
A very convenient hotel within walking distance of the Rambla and some Gaudi buildings.
“Great location, well-lit rooms”
Amazing location. Steps from Universitat metro and the Placa da Catalunya, but remarkably quiet. Sleek remodeled rooms. A true find.
“Good Hotel except one employee - Franchesca - with a rude attitude!”
Good locaiton. The front desk staffs are very helpful - speaks good to perfect English. Our stay at the hotel was good until we used the pool and being yelled at by Franchesca - one of the manager - for not seeing a small sign saying something like: "Foods or drinks from outside are forbidden at the pool area". What happened was this sign was turned facing the wall so we didn't see it and we brought our own drinks. When we were leaving, Franchesca was rudely yelling at us, saying things like: "I'm sure that you are BLIND so you didn't see the sign". She continued to yell at us - even though we appologized and already cleaned up after ourselves by putting the empty bottles in the trash can and didn't even use the pool towls (we brought our own towls from the room because there was no clean towls available at the pool). By the way, it's a very small area with a jacuzzi - not even a pool! Bottom line: If you don't purchase the drink - you're not welcome and will not be treated nicely by the staff at the pool area. What a shame for such a nice hotel having rude employees trying to make extra bucks from guests!
“Good Value”
Good value. The service was excellent.
“Great location, lovely hotel”
Lovely hotel. Adequate size room with good size bathroom. Nice buffet breakfast. Very close to main square in catalunya where you can access public transport if need be. Hotel staff speak great English. Hotel also has a little pool with deck chairs on the roof, great way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing, would definitely recommend!
“Barcelona Stay”
The desk people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was small but very clean and was fine for our stay. The morning breakfast Buffet (addtl charge) was very good and had a nice selection.
“Brillant Barcelona”
The Inglaterra Hotel is in the perfect location and the staff very helpful. I would definately go back, but as others have mentioned would not go for the breakfast option over expensive @ 9Euros. I only spent 3 Days in Barcelona and feel I only saw a fraction of this great city. I would recommend the 2 day hop on hop off city bus tour great value for money and plently of discount vouchers along the route.
“Inglaterra - Nice Place to Stay”
Hotel was very nice but basic...no frills. Great location and pleasant staff. When next in Barcelona wouldconsider this hotel again.
