“Close to beach...45 min walk to La Rambla area”
We were happy with our stay at this hotel. There morning breakfast (12 euros or 9 euros if reserved night before) is very good, but be sure to specify if you only want it for one day or your entire stay. We only ate there the first morning, but they tried to charge us for all four mornings when we checked out. There are several breakfast options available just 2 blocks towards the city center on Avenida Icaria, "Elias" was our favorite, but others were adequate for a bocadilla and cafe con leche. We parked on the side street right next to hotel entrace, which was free parking, our entire stay. It was not high season, so this may not be an option at other times. Plenty of pay parking available on main road (Icaria), which is free overnight. It is a short walk to the beach, but not so close to main part of city. We walked with a 5 year old from the hotel to the Gothic Quarter, down La Rambla, and back along Barceloneta and we survivied (although beat and a little sore!). Our only complaint about the room was that it lacked shampoo and conditioner in the shower, only a general wash for body and hair. Not an option for thick long-haired ladies like me. This seems to be common in Europe, so bring your own conditioner if you need it.
“Comfortable and Clean”
reasonable and comfortable for price
“Barcelona Regular!”
Location is ideal if you like the Villa Olimpica area. The station is aprox 5-7 min walk, don't be brain washed by the other comments stating it is too far, they don't know what they are talking about. If your going to being spending no time in the hotel then you'll like it. The hotel has loads of kids in it and they take over the pool and there is no safety within the pool area, so if you're happy for your kid to dive bomb a metre high swimming pool, then happy days. The cleanliness was standard but under the bed was another story. Keep an eye on your minibar aswell, as items were going missing out of ours. The staff are not brilliant, one of them didn't know what Font Magica is (it is one of the most amazing tourist sights in the city) during winter time its only on Fri & Sat! We waited around 30 mins to checkout due to only 1 member of staff on! This hotel has the potential but does lack a lot in many areas and now listed as our worst hotel so far and we have been to Barcelona loads of times.
“Olympic Marina”
Hotel is very close to Olympic Port and facilities there are good, you will need a taxi to get into teh main parts of barcelona but Taxis are plentiful and cheap. Hotel has good facilities gets a bit busy for breakfast. Rooms are clean and in good condition. Small gym and outdoor pool. Would recommend as cheaper alternative to H10 Hotel and Pullman which are close by but not quite as luxurious as these hotels.
“Beautiful Barcelona”
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and friendly. A good location just a short stroll from the Olympic Port and lovely beaches.
“Good value”
Modern hotel in Olympic area, only 5 minute walk to good beaches. Handy supermarket. Casino and seafront walkway. Away from the busy part of Barcelona. Hop on - off bus stop close by. Not in midst of shopping, business or entertainment areas. Good buffet breakfast. Flat screen TV in room. Free internet in room. Friendly staff. Non smoking floors available.
“Great Hotel”
Hotel had great location - close to the bus stop for the double decker tour bus that takes you to all the Barcelona sites and within walking distance of the beach; we arrived in the morning and hotel was able to accommodate an early check in; comfortable clean room; only issue was that the seal on the shower required repair and water leaked onto the floor; would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Nice hotel but not close to city centre”
We enjoyed staying in this hotel. It's modern and well run. Our only problem was with the complicated lighting system. Either it wasn't working properly or was too complicated for us! The hotel is in the Olympic Village - a pleasantly quiet area. The nearest metro station is 15-20 minutes walk. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel with a good service which gets you to Las Ramblas/Placa Catalunya in about 20 minutes.
“not impressed”
Only two running machines and two cycling machines, both of which were old.General service from hotel reception was poor and staff were a miserable bunch, rooms were ok,well cleaned
“Would definitely use again!”
We stayed at this hotel the night before joining our cruise ship, and also for a night after we departed the ship. It was perfectly situated, a short stroll from the beach and also the Marina where we were able to find a restaurant for dinner in the evening. Just around the corner is the bus stop for the 'on-off' tourist bus which we took advantage of to tour the area on our return. The area is quiet, we were on the 5th floor facing the street and unless the window was open could hear no traffic noise. The Room - spotlessly clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and big! We did have difficulty operating the air conditioning but once we asked at Recpetion, they sorted this out and adjusted it accordingly. The Hotel - Reception Staff were very helpful and friendly and couldnt do enough for you. They were very helpful in giving directions and advice regarding the best way to see Barcelona, and sorting taxis for us to the ship and the airport. The swimming pool is not very big but just the right size for a dip after a long day sightseeing. Pool towels are available at a small cost. There is plenty of choice for breakfast, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, cooked breakfast etc. Hot drinks are from a machine. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay - we will be back!
