“Brilliant location for beach and not too far for bars restaurants and shops”
This hotel is literally 200 meters from the beach, albeit you do have to cross a bridge over a dual carriageway, however it can not be heard from either the beach or the hotel. The hotels reception is very nice and the free bottled water on every floor is a nice touch. The rooms are not the biggest but are more than adequate for the amount of time spent in them. La Ramblas and the centre are a bit of a walk but the hotel is very near the metro and the the tourist bus routes which you can hop on and off for a days pass. Overall definately recommend people to stay at Hotel Front Maritim.
“Too far from main attractions”
This hotel is clean, modern and situated in a quiet area, although our twin room was fairly small. This was our first visit to Barcelona and we found that the hotel was just too far away from the main attractions and although a bus service stopped just outside the hotel, the service was rather infrequent and we mainly used taxis (which were very expensive). There were a few local tapas bars close to the hotel, but we had to go into the centre of Barcelona each evening to find variety of restaurants. We tried the hotel dining room on our first night but walked out when the main course was served, it was so poor. The main advantage of this hotel was that it was good to relax on the beach in the late afternoon, after sightseeing for most of the day, as the weather was really good. We did not expect the weather to be so hot in October. Overall enjoyment of our stay at the hotel I would rate as 75 per cent.
“Very pleasant hotel - perfect for beach lovers”
We joined friends who had also booked at this hotel and we were all very satisfied with our rooms, the friendly and helpful staff and the "express" breakfast which we took every morning consisting of a juice, coffee or tea and a croissant. Naturally, there is a full buffet breakfast available too. Given its location close to the sea front, this must be a popular hotel in summer. For visiting the Gaudi buildings, art galleries and museums, it is a little far from the centre but this means that there is no traffic noise. The nearest metro station is a few blocks' away, say 10 minutes walk but there is a bus route which passes nearby too.
“Lived upto expectations”
Clean, tidy, well presented, helpful reception staff and good quality furnishing and fittings. Breakfast wasn't cheap or fantastic, but you are limited by choice in the surrounding area. bar service was rubbish, but then when in Barcelona why would you want to stay in the hotel bar anyway? I'd definitely go back.
“Our Time in Barcelona”
I was quite apprehensive when i first saw the Hotel from the cab as we drove past it on the motorway. The T and E in HOTEL on the neon sign were out, I thought 'where have i booked us in' But once we got inside the hotel it was very nice, just what i was originally expecting. The staff were very helpful, gave us directions to the Metro and were to get off for the PLaza de Catalonya. The room was small, but comfortable. My Wife and I had order a double room, we got two single beds pushed together, not the best. The Hotel is very close to the beach and would be ideal in the summer. Overall it was a pleasent and enjoyable stay.
“Very good option”
Very good value for money. The area is nice, and is just a short walk from the tube station.
“Very impressed”
we were very pleased with the locstion of the hotel, the price was good, and the hotel very nice and clean, the rooms are quite small and that was the only negative.
“Hotel Front Maritim”
The Hotel is located in front of a main road, very noisy. so they gave me the room at the first floor. there is a double glass but better need more than that if you want to have a quite night. they gave me another room the next day which is located at the back of the Hotel ( garden). Overall excellent service and very kind people.
“Better to stay elsewhere”
The hotel has a "contempory" feel to it with the decor. I felt that the rooms were extremely small. A twin bedroom was sufficient for only one person. The only place where they made any effort was the bathroom with all the complimentary toilettries. The pillows were just fluff. They dont have a minibar inside the room and no kettle (for those who need their tea!). A little more positive was the location- right opposite the beach and a 10mins walk from the station. Also 3-5 mins from the Barcelona Bus Touristic. Good for a first time. Bad if you wanna relax and chill out in the complex.
“costwolds”
Hotel problems was the smell in the room, noises from corridor(No sound installation) and drainage in the shower was poor!!!!!!!!! Rooms neads redecorate!!!
