“Excellent hotel”
I have actually responded already to the initial survey regarding this hotel. We booked this hotel using trip advisor and booking through Expedia online .It was the hotel we chose for the beginning of a two week driving trip through Spain .We spent our first 2 days there and knew that we would be just as happy returning there for the last few days of our trip.
“Beautiful view”
The hotel was located on the boulevard overlooking the port. Cocktails at sunset on the roof terrace were superb!
“Highly impressed”
We were very impressed the moment we walked into the lobby. Most of the staff spoke english and were very helpful with directions to the local sites of intrest. It was a bit of a walk from the metro station but very easy to find. We had a room on the harbor side and the window had a secondary window that controled the noise from the street below. The room was very quite. If I make it back to Barcelona I will definitly stay here again.
“excellent value for money. We'll go back again!”
The Hotel gives a really good impression at the entrance and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. Our room was OK just there are signs of deterioration, dust and dirt. The proof is that I sneeze and cough every time I was inside the room. Our bed was extremely hard. Me and my partner couldn't sleep without noticing it. The best part was the terrace, great ambience, view and service. The restaurant and the breakfast was delicious. Location is near everything. So despite everything minor flaws, we won't hesitate to book a room in this hotel again.
“pricey but no problems”
The hotel was ideally located for us. We like the old city center and quickly found a great pastry shop near the St Mercy Church nearby for breakfast. The standard tourist areas are nearby like La Rambla, Cathedral, and the many shops in the Gothic Quarter. We also liked going over to El Born that was more local in flavor. We even walked to the Gaudi Basilica. Beyond that I recommend a taxi. The beach is a 20 min walk. The Hotel itself was quiet and a nice retreat from activities during the day. We didn't eat at the hotel - found it expensive but there is a nice view of the port from the 6th floor terrace. There is a small pool also on the 6th floor - about right for one family at a time. The staff was very helpful and quite able to communicate in English.
“Excellent location, close to everything!”
We enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. The rooftop bar is gorgeous and provides a wonderful view of the harbor and surrounding area. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was large. The bed was a bit on the older, frumpy side, but surprisingly comfortable. We would definitely visit this hotel again.
“Very good experience”
The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Location was great. Enjoyed the roof top bar. Would definitely recommend to friends.
“Great Location and Service”
We loved our hotel so much that we canceled another hotel later in our trip to re-book the Duquesa de Cardona! The location is perfect, rooms were clean and quiet, the rooftop deck is beautiful although the service is slow, and we couldn't have been happier with the front desk staff. They happily held our bags upon check in until the room was ready, gave us great tourist advice (lots of pick-pockets in Las Ramblas, great restaurants towards the marina, etc.) We are already looking forward to staying there again! The only downfall is that the hotel does not have a fitness center, but we ran along the beach boardwalk.
“Good Time in Barcalona”
Great hotel in a great location. W
“Excellent hotel in perfect location”
Stayed here in March when it was still a bit chilly so did not make use of lovely roof terrace. Hotel was in a perfect location. Staff were extremely helpful and standard of room was very high. They had taken notice of my request for a low floor and seaview which often does not happen. Breakfast was good but expensive so mostly we enjoyed ours in great local cafes. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel!

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas.
