“Our room smelled awful”

Like something was dying. And the smell wouldn't go away even after we left the window open for hours. It was still very strong when we woke up the next day. Thank goodness we only had to stay for one night. Definitely would not recommend!

No tea and coffee in room and you had to buy a 9 euro breakfast to get one in the cafe.Internet run by outside company, very expensive ,very slow and hard to connect upto.

We were generally satisfied with the hotel, but we found the help at the desk less than friendly and not interested in giving us directions or helping us get around the city in general.

Great location. Within walking distance of the beach, harbor and the Ramblas. The hotel was clean and the staff was efficient.

“Smallish room, perfect location”

We chose this place based on price and location. The reviews sounded hit or miss, talking about small, outdated rooms and unresponsive staff. The rooms were indeed small, but they looked very modern and were enough space for my wife and I. The staff was very helpful and kind, and it's location couldn't have been more perfect for us. If and when we come back to Barcelona, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

“Disappointing”

After reading several positive reviews we were confident that we had picked a good hotel for our stay. While the hotel cannot be faulted on cleanliness, our room left a lot to be desired. The twin room (we specifically booked a double) was tiny. We have been to Barcelona twice before and small rooms are commonplace so we were expecting this, but this hotel did not meet the standards of previous 3* hotels we have stayed in. The television didn't work, and our room had a view of a brick wall and drain. There were no tea/coffee making facilities and it was certainly not what we would describe as 3* standard. When we raised thses issues with reception we were told there was nothing that could be done. However, when the reception staff changed over the following day, we were allocated a different room with a working television set. Overall we weren't impressed and did not feel this hotel offered value for money at all.

“Great hotel for the price and location”

The hotel was really easy to find - I travelled by train then metro from the airport - and in a really good location for walking down to the beach area or local restaurants. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel because I thought 9 euros was quite pricey and instead drank coffee and ate breakfast outside in the sunshine at one of the local cafes. The hotel itself was clean and my room was very good for the price I paid. It was spotlessly clean and cleaned with fresh towels when requested. The staff were helpful when asked - I think some of their English is not so good which is why they were a bit reticent which was fine with me as I guess I should learn more Spanish! As a single woman on my own I would recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again.

“Clean, convenient and a really good price”

Was a very clean and welcoming hotel to stay, perfect location.. 10 min walk to the beach and harbour and very close to Metro's and restaurants and bars. The reception are very helpful and happy to assist in directions or help you may need. Rooms are modern and new, the bed was fine and everything provided and clean. Will definitely return and definitely recommend.
