“Nice hotel, convenient location”

My college-age daughter and I stayed here on a visit to Barcelona at the beginning of June. The hotel is in a great location.....slightly off the main street, but easy walking distance to two major plazas - both with metro stations. Several places to eat nearby, too. Hotel staff very friendly. I would stay at the Advance again!

“Great location, clean hotel, good service”

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Advance. It was relatively easy to find after getting off the Aerobus at the Universitat stop, even after no sleep for 24 hours! The room was very clean and the bathroom was very spacious and modern. I blew a fuse with my sleep machine (forgot to check the voltage, oops!) and someone from the hotel came right up that night and fixed the power in our room, which I thought was great customer service. Any questions we had were answered by the friendly staff. If we were ever in Barcelona again we would definitely consider staying here again!

“Great choice”

Overall our time at the Hotel Advance was excellent. The front office staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well maintained, we enjoyed the added space of an open terrace which made our longer than average stay in Barcelona better than expected. The Hotel is a short walk to buses and metro, as well as to the centre of the city. If you like city centres and exploring this is an ideal base. If you prefer scenic views then stay near the beach front. Local cafes are very good for light bites, for better dining then you will need to venture out (20min walk).

“Good little hotel!”

King room not as expected. Two single bed pushed together. Modern and small just what we wanted. Staff spoke English and were very helpful. Great restaurants at a walking distance and metro close by.

“Highly recommended”

Excellent location of a modern hotel makes it ideal for a City Break type holiday. Easy to walk to most of the main attractions from here. Reception staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. Rooms very clean and well furnished except could have done with "tea making" facilities - so take a travel kettle. Breakfast is expensive but there are many cafes nearbye if required. Would use this hotel again if going back to Barcelona.

“Perfect place to stay!!”

Hotel Advance was an exceptional hotel in a great location. The front desk staff spoke English extremely well and made communication a non issue. We were VERY early for check in, with our flight arriving in Barcelona at 8:00 am. They were very accommodating and got us into a room ASAP. The location was also ideal, far enough for the loud nights, but close enough to walk to it all! Our room was very clean and modern. Bueno!

“Very Clean Hotel”

Room had air conditioning but no heating - we had a couple of nights which were cold (It was unusually cold when we were their). Room not that large with only one chair. Shower was excellent. Bedding and towels changed regularly and the room was always clean when we came back each day. Staff at reception always smiling and willing to help you.

Dining

Got ripped off a lot with meals and drinks mainly because of our lack of Spanish e.g on la rambla a large beer (less than a pint) and an orange drink cost 15 Euros. Be careful with the special priced offers on food because they often only apply at certain times e.g. during the week or lunchtimes
