“Barcelona Casanova - excellent”
Excellent hotel, really happy with my choice after researching so many hotels. Good location 10 mins from the centre and la ramblas. Quieter location. Very nice foyer and bar area. Would highly recommend.
“Modern hotel in great location”
A very modern, contemporary hotel in a great location close to all major attractions. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, offering directions and providing us with a map to help us find out way around. Our rooms were large as were the bathrooms. There was a free safe, toiletries and mini bar. The beds were particularly comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The restaurant food was of good quality and the service efficient and friendly. All in all a very good break and we would certainly recommend this hotel to others.
“Brilliant Barcelona Weekend”
This is a lovely hotel, perfect location only a slow 10 minute walk to main attractions. Rooms very comfortable, not huge but not a problem, shower a bit hard to use at first but once set up it was fine. We looked out on to the side street but noise was not a problem. Breakfast was fine, a good selection but suggest going at 8 o'clock rather than 9 as was a queue for a table. Would definately return to this hotel and can't wait to return to Barcelona.
“Just Enjoy it”
H10 Casanova is situated on the main road about a15 minute stroll or 10 min quick walk to the top of La Rambla. We stayed in a junior suite on the 7th floor which was spacious with a seperate WC as well as a full bathrrom / dresing room. We had a very large and comfortable queen size bed in a seperate bedroom. Our room faced the back of the hotel which initially we were dissapointed with but gratefull for that when we got a good lay in the first morning we were there as you could not here the busy traffic noise running past. As we had book a suite we had the luxury of a Nespresso coffee maker in our room as well as compimentary shampoo, shower gel etc and also dressing gown and slippers. The restaurant was good. Varied menu and veggie options. We did not have breakfast. There are plenty of small cafes along the main road for breakfast with a Starbucks 2 blocks down towards the university. There is a lack of good restaurants in the area and you have to head well towards the centre of Barca. So a stroll out for dinner at the end of a busy day will not happen. Saying that the local black taxis are reasonably priced but tryng to hail one on the street is difficult.A green light on the cab does not necessarily mean they are vacant, but its fun trying to find out, all part of the culture. The catalans are very polite people but struggle with the english language. La Ramblas is safe but just keep hold of your valuables and be sensible. We did'nt encounter any problems. Just enjoy.
“Not Impressed”
This trip was a special birthday treat for my partner and I was very excited about this hotel as the reviews were so good. I contacted the hotel before my arrival re some tickets & birthday treats that could be arranged. They advised that they would check & revert back which they didn't until I chased them. They responded the day before I arrived advising they couldn't help although I had emailed them over a month before! When we arrived location was good although a bit of a walk to main attractions. Hotel was clean but small. I had to tell the hotel staff of my room requests even though it was on my booking and I had included this info in my many emails. Room was very small and stuffy. Shower was broken and falling off and many TV channels were frozen, The shower was fixed the next day but TV wasn't even though I complained three times. There was no fan in the bathroom which made it very hot. The room was very basic, no clock or info about hotel. TV was in Spanish except two news channels in english so description "sattellite/cable TV" is very misleading. Phone had a few buttons but no instructions on how to use or call reception so we had to keep going downstairs to complain. Bed was very uncomfotable and pillows were too soft. I requested firmer ones but this was ignored. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. I picked this hotel even though it was more expensive than others I was looking at and was sadly very dissappointed. We couldn't stay in the
“We loved Barcelona”
This hotel is rated as 4 star? The location was very convenient and our room was newish, nicely designed and comfortable, but the sheets were never changed during our entire stay of six nights and one of the pillow cases was not fresh to start with. There was no tissue paper except a tiny welcome pack – we had to buy our own. The front desk was friendly but they gave us the wrong terminal to go to for our departure. Luckily, we had time to get to the right terminal on time.
“Great hotel in a great location. Very near to the city center and yet not so crowded or noisy.”
Very near to the city center and yet not so crowded or noisy. Stuff was very helpfull, rooms are clean and comfortable.
“Great value, clean and convenient.”
Great coffee shop/bakery just opposite for breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean and lovely and quiet.
“Will stay there again”
Spacious room, good quality breakfast, perfect location to see BCN
“Excellent stay!”
We arrived at the hotel on a trip for a bithday surprise and were told on arrival that we had been upgraded from a standard room to a one of their suites which was lovely. Clean hotel, great facilities, didn't try the restaurant but it looked nice. Good location, metro nearby and lots of sights walkable. Would definately return / recommend.
