“Fabulous Location!”

The location was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. Walking distance to everything, night life, local coffee house for breakfast every morning and great tapas restaurants near by. The room was on the small side but impeccably maintained. Very modern decor and extremely comfortable. Lovely bathroom. Both my husband and I would stay here again!

“New Hotel, Great Location.”

We stayed at this hotel mid June 2010, and were very pleased with the attentiveness of the staff, and location of the hotel. It is a new hotel, only a few months open and therefore it had some 'quirks'. When we arrived, the toilet was not functioning in our room. When we contacted the front desk, they asked us if it was acceptable to be relocated - we agreed. In the new room, we discovered that the door was not latching properly, and upon notifying the front desk - maintenance arrived to rectify the situation promptly. There have been numerous comments re: the glass wall and door to the bathroom. We did not find this to be a problem, as the glass was frosted for privacy. The location of the hotel was FANTASTIC. It is a 7 minute walk to the Placa Catalunya, 5 minutes to the P.Gracia metro line.....etc. Great shopping and tourist areas very close by. Breakfast was very nice. They had a variety of breads, cakes, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, cold cereal, yogurt, juice, as well as some hot buffet options (egg, potato omelette, bacon, sausage). Overall, we had a fine stay at this hotel. Glitches were minor, service was superior and we would absolutely consider returning here upon a return to Barcelona.

Overall I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The service and accommodations were lovely.Quiet,clean,good location.The staff were lovely. I would definitely return to this hotel and I will be recommending it to my friends who travel!

Everything was exactly as advertise, all new and clean. The location is extremely convenient to visit the town and the area is safe and clean. We had a wonderful time!!

“Excellent New hotel”

My wife & I spent 3 nights at this hotel on a Barcelona site seeing visit. The hotel exceeded our expectations, brand new , very modern, excellent shower room. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant, polite & always available & helpful. Hotel location was brilliant, away from busy La Ramblas but only 5 minute walk there. Only one problem that guests should be aware of, you can hear rumble from metro trains which run beneath the hotel. This didn`t bother us in the slightest but some people may find this annoying. The trains do not seem to run between 11.30 pm & 5.30am( at least we didn`t hear them , maybe the wine helped!!)

Arriviamo alle 14,30 abbiamo dovuto aspettare perchè la stanza non era ancora pronta!un giorno siamo tornati alle 16,30 e non era sistemata... era al primo piano e si sentiva la metropolitana! abbiamo scelto la comfort ma il letto non era di certo king size e mancavano cose semplici come uno sgabello per poggiare le valigie o il portasapone nella doccia. La colazione è sempre uguale e se vuoi avere un caffè o un cappuccino in piu' si paga l'extra! Il vantaggio è che è molto ben posizionato vicino ai mezzi. Se si sceglie il volo iberia, è operato dalla vueling, è un volo low cost e quindi molto scomodo e senza servizio a bordo.

Das Hotel liegt optimal zentral und dennoch ein wenig abseits vom großen Trubel der lebhaften Stadt. Die Zimmer waren ausreichend großzügig, modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Bad war sehr schön groß und hatte ein tolle große Dusche. Auf dem Frühstücksbuffet konnte man alles finden, was einen guten Start in den Tag ausmacht, z.B. große Platten mit frischem aufgeschnittenen Obst, die immer wieder aufgefüllt wurden; verschiedene Brotsorten u. Brötchen, Wurst und Käse, Rührei, Speck, backed beans, Yoghurt und Müsli. Das Servicepersonal war super nett. Bei unserem nächsten Barcelona Aufenthalt werden wir das Grupotel Gran Via auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

“Das Hotel Grupotel Gran Via 678 hat eine optimale Lage für eine Städtereise”

Wir waren mit der Lage und dem Hotel sehr zufrieden, der Service war ausgezeichnet wie es sich für ein vier Sterne Hotel auch gehört. Nur der Pool sieht auf den Bilder größer und tiefer aus, man kann immer stehen Wassertiefe ca. 1,20m und die Länge erlaubt max. 3 Schwimmzüge, aber zum abkühlen und für eine mittägliche Siesta eigentlich vollkommen ausreichend.

Alles gut bis sehr gut. Zimmer war etwas klein, aber im Verhältnis zum Preis zu verschmerzen. Lediglich das French bed ist als Paar nicht zu empfehlen, da es alle Bewegungen des Partners verstärkt.
