“Like a Resort~ breathtaking view & comfort.”
Oh my goodness. Where do I begin? I traveled to Spain alone. This hotel was incredible in every way. The service was great- everyone spoke English that I encountered. My room was fabulous. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! No joke- the shower was one of the best experiences, also. Spacious bathroom & bedroom. The terrace is the best part of the hotel. My room was not ready when I checked in so I waited outside in the back. The view is better than pictures convey. The sun was hot so I dangled my legs in the pool while sipping on a Margarita. I must've taken 30 pictures in the 1st 10 minutes. If I ever make my way back to Barcelona, I will definitely stay here again. I have no complaints at all. It is a bit of a trek from downtown but the view makes it worth the taxi ride. Incredibly romantic setting if you are a couple celebrating.
“Luxury at its best”
It was all I wanted and did not fail to deliver, staf fantastic.
“Fantastic location overlooking Barcelona”
Warm welcome, attentive service, good food. Not ideal if wanting to take in Barcelona at close range as it sits high above the city. Very good for English speaking guests.
“Best View in Spain”
The staffs were excellent. Although the daily taxi fares were $20 Euro each way from downtown, the view was breath taken. Hotel upgraded us to a Jr. Suite and received Comp breakfast due to miss wake up call. The ride to/from downtown up the mountain road were a bit twisty, thus not recommend this hotel is you get car sick.
“Beautiful hotel. Wish I was still there relaxing...”
This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. My friend and I decided to stay outside of the city for a couple days to rest and rid of the jet lagged. We couldn't have been more relaxed. The room was huge with two balconies overlooking the city, mountains and some of the mediterranean. The service was top notch, accommodating all of our needs. It was so lovely being able to walk to the Tibidabo church and amusement park. Even though the city center is 20 minutes away, the ride over was easy when shuttled in by the hotel. Just make sure you book the shuttle in advance as it only carries seven people. A cab back is about 25 euro but it's worth it! I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to relax before or after staying in the city.
“VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!”
We were VERY disappointed with the service and location of the room! We paid for a mountain view and got a room that had absolutely no view, which was hard to believe since the hotel has views from nearly every room. We also expected there to be a shuttle to town available. However, all spots for the shuttle were reserved for any time in the morning and "siesta time" the shuttle doesn't run. To top off our frustration the taxi ride from town to the hotel was a very expensive 65 euros! The restraunt was quit good and worth the money. However, there aren't any other restraunts in the vicinity. So, if you ant something quick or moree affordable you're only choice is room service. If you plan to stay in the La Florida don't plan to do any sight seeing unless you reserve the "shuttle", which only holds 7 people including the driver several days in advance. We spent a couple of weeks celebrating our silver anniversary and it was a fabulous trip excluding the La Florida ~ I would not go back!
“the only place we want to sleep in Barcelona”
super service, great pool and spa, beutiful rooms, delicios food, overall great place to be in Barcelona
“hhhhh”
Faded around the edges and it takes atlest 30 minutes to get in to Barcelona. The Hotel only has an 8 seater minibus that goes once every hour so is very limited. In you intend visiting Barcelona frequently I would strongly suggest you stay in the city centre,
“Would use the Hotel again”
Hotel clean champagne on arrival. Book the shuttle service in advance as services maximum of 6 people. Beds comfortable and linen crisp. Restaurant -not much choice on the menu and rather dissapointing range of dishes. Only ate in restaurant once. Changing rooms to swimming pool lacking in basics - toilet paper and soap not topped up. However this may be indicative of Barcellona everything will walk if it can!!! Some taxi drivers can be wonderful others rude beware of your belongings and purses at all times.
“Loved it!”
Beautiful hotel with dynamic views of Barcelona. Champagne upon arrival and personal service from concierge up to room, which was best of four I stayed in Spain. Great bed, rest room(bath, shower, double sink, and private toilet area).Restaurant was fab as was breakfast on the patio overlooking the city and sea. There is a small amusement park next door which is kind of fun and not too loud. Happy people! Free shuttle service to city center and back, but last shuttle back is 7:30 pm, so plan on a taxi back if you seek nightlife.
