“"Can't wait to go back”
very very nice and main fantastic nice and beautiful girls on the reception, spanish girls are the best nice on the world,
“An average convention hotel”
In my opinion definitely not a 4 star hotel. Rooms are nice and clean, staff is friendly, lobby area ok. Internet is free, but useless!! Very slow!! Wouldn't go back, as there are so many other options in Barcelona
“nice hotel in quiet neighborhood”
pros: charming, old factory city turned quiet neighborhood with great restaurants and their very own 'rambla' that is not touristy. nice pool on roof. BIG rooms and bathroom. new and modern. many taxis in front of hotel at early hour. cons: elevator is very slow when busy. some front desk staff not polite. nothing opens in this area (including hotel cafe) until about 7am, so if you have early flight can be hard to get coffee. only news channels in english. a/c takes a long time to cool down room (i left a key card/credit card/id card in the key holder/electricity to keep the a/c on all the time = cool room).
“exceptionally clean”
Me and my husband stayed in Barcelona for 3 nights, a long weekend. It took about 20 minutes to get there from the airport. The transfer was 38 euro to the hotel, 28 euro's on return. I think you pay a surcharge for leaving the airport by taxi. The hotel was very clean and staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious and also very clean. We were given clean towels and daily and the bedding was also changed daily. A nice touch was the chilled complimentary water in the room. However, on the down side room-service was only available 13.30 - 22.00pm, and there was no kettle in the room. The location was about 4km from the Ramblas, close to the beach and some great little shops and resturants just round the corner. You can take in most of the Barcelona sites from the windown in the room. The area surrounding the hotel was a little shabby but there appears to be a lot of re-generation in the area. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which was more than adequate. There was plenty of choice, cereal, fruit yoghurts, pastries, full english and so on. Although we have no allergies i did notice soya milk which i thought was good. We never ate at the hotel in the evening so are unable to comment. Overall we had a really pleasant stay.
“Well worth the money”
The holiday overall was great and well worth the money we paid at such short notice. Thanks Expedia for such a great deal. My only issue with the hotel was the internet connection was drove me crazy as it was very very very slow. Many people gave up at the first try. The rooftop pool was also FREEZING - anyone brave enough to risk it stayed in only a matter of seconds. However total overall experience of hotel and of Barcelona was great - definitely would go back and through Expedia too.
“Confortable, modern and clean”
This is a very nice hotel with a modern look. The location is not close to many of the sights in Barcena, but it's a short walk to the Olympic Port and some cool neighborhoods. You do feel like you are escaping from the hustle and bustle of the center of the city. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a good rate in Barcelona and doesn't mind being a little ways away from the center of town.
“BREAKFAST DREAMY”
Location is not too good but it has a subway station two blocks away, which made things easy. The neighborhood looks also very "industrial", like a bunch of car workshops that in the evening are closed. Still, like in everywhere else if you see weird people go to the other side of the street and continue. The breakfast buffet is AWESOME, simply pay for it once you get there, is cheaper.
“If you are in Barsa for work, that is a nice place!"”
It is a perfect business hotel. There is everything what you need and nothing else. Clean and stylish. Nice brakfast. Free wifi. Not so much staff, there fore if you need an additional blanket at night time, it is faster to go and get it from reception niether wait for it in the room.
“Good alternative for short term stays”
The hotel has undergone recent upgrades and provide comfortable facilities. The walk to Metro is approximately 15 minutes and the area is not the best. Currently lots of road construction that causes detours. I find it disappointing that this class of facility doesn't provide complimentary coffee kettle and mugs in the rooms.
“Great New Hotel is a friendly neighborhood that is becomign the Tech/Finance center”
I was extremely pleased with this hotel. Although if you follow their directions to the hotel, you go thru a lot of construction, the next metro stop is an extra block walk, but the walk is along a lovely Rambla with terrific restaurants and shops. It's a short walk to the beach, an easy metro ride to downtown and just a great neighborhood to be in. I stay in hotels 100 nights a year and this is my favorite for the last few years.
