“"I'll be back"!”
Comfortable and clean with welcoming staff. I would definitely stay there again.
“Close to city centre”
A reasonably priced hotel within walking distance to city centre via the Arc de Triomph and the Gotic Barri. 5 minute walk to metro station and nearby central bus station if needed. More of a family type neighbourhood, however, small restaurants and bars along from hotel. Located on Sicilia Street from where you can walk to the Gaudi cathedral. Worthwhile visiting Montserrat on a day trip from Plaza de Espana- buy a Montserrat card at tourist information centre.
“Not impressed”
The quality of the services provided is not in line with the price.
“Two metro stations from Catalunia Rambla. 20 minuts by foot. Bufet breakfirst.”
No complains
“Fine accomodation, just don't expect a pool”
Fine accommodation located within walking distance from the metro. It's not what you'd call "central" and there really isn't much else in the area, but it's not terrible and it urges you to get outdoors and enjoy all that Barcelona has to offer. Our main reason for booking this accommodation was that it had a pool on the roof top. We were very disappointed to discover that the pool was little bigger than a 3m x 3m bathing pool on a roof with no other amenities (chairs, shade area, etc). If we had have known we may very well have stayed in a different area, closer to the action. I've travelled to Barcelona a number of times and I'm sad to say that this accommodation really didn't give me the experience that I wanted. It doesn't do anything WRONG (except the pool) but it doesn't do anything AMAZING either.
“Good place to stay”
I would recomend this place to someone looking for a place to crash. The fridge doesn't get cold, they do not have an iron, the room gets "somewhat" cold. Other than those problems I enjoyed my stay.
“small uncomfortable rooms, small ugly lobby, noisy neighbourhood, not value”
hotel has no ametinies at all... rooms are very small and uncomfortable... you feel exhausted in the hotel and window look... expensive room charge... very expensive breakfast (15 €/day per person)... not suggesting...
“Perfect getaway!”
Fantastic place to stay. The hotel was a step away from the chaos of Ramblas, yet within walking distance to everything (15 minutes). The area also had an authentic feel about it, with a few little bread shops and corner bars selling coffee There was a metro and a supermarket local too which was very conveniant. Our room was a decent size and looked quite new. The staff were lovely and most obliging. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
“Would go back to same hotel”
Quiet urban neighborhood away from the city center, in a safe neighborhood. We walked to the city center 2X a day (20 minute walk). Taxis are cheap if you'd rather not walk, but the buildings are so nice we preferred walking every time. Even around the hotel there are nice places to visit and good restaurants, and you may not wish to spend so much time in the city center anyway. We read lots of reviews about pickpockets. We hid our money away and anticipated something to happen but not a thing. And it was quite obvious who to avoid and no more dangerous as far as pick pockets than places closer to home like NYC. The hotel has a good safe for personals. We rented a car and parked right inside the hotel garage for free (I think it's $16 Euro a day but they didn't charge us. (Take a short drive up the coast - Costa Bravo - and go to Tossa Del Mar. Free parking around town - you'll LOVE IT.) The hotel also stocks the refrigerator with free water bottles. Nice little touch. The rooms are clean but small by US standards. I'd definitely return here.
“Good Place”
I was able to check-in early because they had a room available. Dean is very knowledgeable about the area and how the metro works (his english is also wonderful). The shower is hard to manage but this is how you get it to work: There is a knob under the water handle. You have to pull it up before you turn on the water for the shower to work. I had to take a few wash-ups before I figured that out. And be careful stepping out of the tub, the distance from the tub to floor is misleading. Also, there are no American plugs. I didn't eat breakfast in the hotel, but there are cafes in the area.
