“Excellent central location”
The hotel has everything you would expect of a 4* but is rather compact and lacking in space owing to the city centre location. However, the location is also a great boon for travellers determined to see the best of Barcelona. All of the major sites are within walking distance or short trips on the underground.
“WOULD DEFENITLY GO BACK!”
ONE OF THE BEST HOTELS ON OUR HONEYMOON. THIS HOTEL HAD THE PERFECT LOCATION, IT WAS ABOUT A 15 MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH AND A 5 MINUTE WALK TO LA RAMBLA AND PRETTY MUCH WHEREVER YOU WANTED TO GO TO IN BARCELONA. STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND THE BREAKFAST WAS THE BEST - EGGS, BACON, SAUSAGES, FRESH FRUIT, CAKE, CROISSANTS, YOU NAME IT THEY HAD IT! THE ROOM ITSELF WAS SMALL BUT ENOUGH, IT ALSO HAD A BALCONY THAT OPENED UP ONTO THE STREET WHICH WAS AN ADDED BONUS. FROM THE HOTEL IF YOU GO RIGHT THERE IS A MEXICAN RESTAURAUNT ABOUT 2 MINUTES AWAY ROSA NEGRA, CHEAO AND AMAZING, WE WERE THERE FIVE DAYS AND WENT AT LEAST ONCE A DAY!
“Great Location, Great Breakfast - not 4-star, though!”
The hotel is in a great location, in the heart of the Gothic District, close to great shopping, restaurants, historic sights and transportation. The breakfast buffet is huge and delicious - definitely a plus. Room Service rarely involved a sheet-change and some amenities were lacking - face cloths, conditioner, more than 2 towels, etc. Rooms are small, much like all European rooms, but additional services to truly bump it up to a 4-star are necessary.
“Next vacations in Barcelona I'll stay in this hotel.”
Hotel with an excellent location and close to many good restaurants, stores, and historical places. There was noise at nights and has an excellent breakfast buffet.
“Very good location”
The hotel location is great. Close to Barcelona cathedral and a short distance walk from some of the most interesting sites in the city. Room is not very big, but is comfortable. Wi fi internet works very well.
“Convenient, not 4 star”
The hotel was advertised as 4 star, which it is not. That being said, it is uber convenient (on Via Laetana near the Cathedral), clean and safe. On the down side, rooms are small, it is understaffed (morning receptionist could not speak English - not good for language challenged Americanos), and buffet breakfast is not included (available for €9). We got a good price for peak season, so overall it was OK.
“Good location, nice staff”
The hotel is in a very good location and has a great staff. It's a little loud (although the staff clearly asked us if we wanted a quieter location). Our room was a very large size especially for Europe. All in all - good place and would stay again.
“Dissapointed”
All though the hotel is well located, as a 4* Hotel it is tired and in need of renovation. If you can get a room cheap enough and are not expecting a 4* stay then it's worth it for the location also the staff were excellent.
“More Like a 2-3 Star”
The prices of hotels in Barcelona is extortionate. Including this mediocre hotel. It was very basic, clean and okay for comfort but just a very basic hotel. In North America this hotel would probably be a 2 star hotel. The staff were friendly but the hotel is overpriced and just very basic like a motel 8.
“Great location, great price, decent stay”
Can't beat the location, hotel looks renovated when you enter, but it looks like the renovations weren't maintained or the best materials weren't used. Rooms were decent size for Europe, staff is great, they have a couple computers in the lobby and wifi throughout, but both are SUPER slow. Would go back for price and location.

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
