“Ideal location for exploring the city”
This hotel is right on the main street, with the famous market a few blocks away and a big supermarket across the road. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed for self catering - a fridge, microwave, two ring hob, with crockery, pans and cutlery. We had a room at the back, overlooking the square rather than the busy La Rambla street. With the window open, we could hear the street noise, which is plentiful in Barcelona, but once the window was closed there was nothing to disturb us. The hotel is ideally located for exploring the city on foot. But if you need a metro, Placa de Catalunya is 5 minutes to the right, Liceu metro station is 5 minutes to the left. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. We did not use the maid service or breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. I fully intend to return to Barcelona, and I will definitely consider staying here again.
“We loved this Hotel”
Superb location puts you in the Barcelone atmosphere right away. We wanted a quiet room with a view and were accommodated in an excellent room in the Madrid building. Comfortable and spacious with quality furniture, facilities and equipment. We found everything we needed to prepare meals and the supermarket over the road allowed us to get everything we needed in 1 shop. Nice coffee lounge with free hot drinks whilst sitting overlooking La Ramblas. Could walk to many of sites and access to others via metro and buses was simple. Would definitely make return visit.
“Very convenient”
Superbly located and so easy to find. We asked for a quiet room off the street and you wouldn't know you were right in the centre of the city it was so quiet. Only sound was the church bells that start up at 8am each morning. Clean, comfy and the kitchen was a great bonus with a supermarket right over the road. Area felt very safe even late at night.
“A quiet room in the City Centre?”
Yes indeed, if you ask for a room at the back. And bang in the middle of the Ramblas, with all its liveliness. Nice, friendly hotel with good size rooms with kitchen facilities. But a bit of a surprise having to make our own bed!
“would stay at hotel again”
the hotel is in an ideal location on la ramblas,a supermarket is opposite which is very handy, hotel staff very friendly and all spoke good english. the only 1 complaint i have is that i never ihad my room seened to by a maid ie towels were never changed.

“Great City Stay”
Fab weekend during the Merce Festival. Requested quite room as advised on TripAdviser and was given a room where all you really heard was the church clock. Fortunately this didn't start chiming until 8am which is a little early but you need plenty of hours to make the most of this fantastic city. Was aware of the pick pockets so took care not to look to touristy, flaunting camera & guide book etc. We were lucky enough not to witness any thieving or scams just people having a great time.Great value for money, would definitely return and maybe pay a bit more for room with a view although the roof terrace was great.
“Top quality and locatin!”
Excellent location, couldn't be better, right on las Ramblas. Studio apartment very spacious. Bed extremely comfy. Massive mirrored wardrobe. TV. Hifi. Little kitchenette with everything you need - hob, dishwasher!, kettle, dishes, cutlery, fridge, coffee 'funnel'. You'll need to buy paper coffee filters at the supermarket across the street. There's no microwave, but we didn't miss it. Bathroom fantastic! With a BATH! So unusual in a European hotel and very welcome to soothe those aching muscles after all that walking. One shared PC with net access: handy. There's a laundrette too, if you need it. Coffee lounge for FREE coffee in the evening and watch the world go buy on las Ramblas. We didn't take breakfast as it's cheaper to eat out. I'll definitely book again next time I'm back to Barca! Can't recommend this place highly enough. Staff were excellent. Free secure room for luggage on your last day - excellent! Excellent value.
“Comfortable. Centrally located with easy access to the sights.”
We enjoyed our stay there and would definitely wish to return.
“Good location and quiet”
This hotel was really central - right on Las Ramblas. The apartment was in the inner hotel therefore very quiet at night and there was air conditioning. The only fault I had was that during my 4 days stay the room was not cleaned during the stay, and to change towels I had to pay 7euros. As this was an aparthotel room I was disappointed about the service.

Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
