“Casa Fuster is superb”
A superb hotel with attentive staff, clean and good quality rooms. the food is excellent and attention to detail next to none. Only small gripe from an English point of view is no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. Not the cheapest place to stay but worth the money!
“Top Location - Great Hotel”
It is simply an outstanding beatiful hotel in a great location Service is excellent and the breakfast is just great. We will be back!!
“5 star hotel no questions about it”
Beautiful and Nice hotel, Service is awsome and food in teh hotel is good too. Close to all teh shopping area, and 15 min walking from Plaza Castilla, Ramblas. You can also take teh bus (24) and it will take you to Plaza Castilla in 3 mins. This hotel has a nice live jazz music on thursdays and Fridays.
“Fine Hotel Excellent Location”
This was the first hotel my wife and I stayed in on our recent visit to Spain and we were very happy with our room, with the staff and with the location. The building is a work of art in itself and a good introduction to the architecture of Barcelona. The hotel is situated at the head of Paseo Gracia which is the primary high end shopping street in the city and the location for 2 of Gaudi's famous buildings. We'd happily return to the hotel on future visits. The hotel breakfast is very good but we suggest you save a bundle and have breakfast at the coffee bar 30 yards down the street.
“Not a good value”
The service at this hotel was horrendous. To be characterized as a being a part of the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World, this hotel did not live up to that accolade. Missed wake up calls, wrong orders (consistently) during the breakfast buffet, abysmal advice on where and what to visit, lazy and arrogant concierge staff who sent us on a very expensive taxi ride to a restaurant that they assured us was open but when we got there was closed. They also sent us to a less than "stellar" flamenco show in the Las Ramblas district. Overall, a lousy hotel experience. The only plus - location.
“Gracias for Casa Fuster”
Just a remarkably good experience at every level. You know you are in for something different and special when you spy the Top-hatted doorman as you pull up to the curb. He is the first of the hotel staffers who provide you with exemplary service. Lovely lobby, reception is at clubby desk to the left (one of the hotels few weak spots--the space can get a little crowded if there is a line). Service here is again impeccable. The Superior Room is very well appointed and very thoughtfully designed. Love the headboard area. Throughout Europe you will often find two twin beds pushed together for a Queen. This one was odd, in that each twin had its own sheets and blankets---literally two separate sleeping areas pushed side by side. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully designed, and very comfortable. To the far right a great shower stall. Then toilet and bidet which can be concealed by sliding doors. Very good wash basin with clever mirror treatment. A nice Jacuzzi tub to the far left. Nice Loewe soaps, shampoo and lotion, but also (a little oddly) a second set of more ordinary "Made in China" shampoos and potions. We came in on the final night of a celebratory week's vacation. The hotel very thoughtfully greeted us with a nice Cava and delicious petit fours. The roof deck has a cute little 10' x 18' pool and a stunning view of the Passeig de Gracia. Wonderful space which we loved for the privacy, but I'm sure gets lively in summer.
“Wonderful Spanish stay”
The hotel is amazing. The staff have no limits to please you. Its not a hotel for young people though. Its located at Barcelona`s main street but has no young appeal. I would say conservative. Its a 100% return in the future
“Wondertul city-Excellent hotel”
Wonderful hotel in a great location. There are at least 3 famous Gaudi buildings nearby. The Paseo de Gracia is one of the most beautiful streets in Barcelona. The Metro is very good and there are stations within a short walk of the hotel. Health club is on top of the building (a wonderfully restored building of very interesting design) and you should visit it if only for the spectacular view of the city. The bar is very nice and is a meeting place for the locals. There are jazz concerts on Thursdays. The rooms are very comfortable, but the beds are okay, as in many or most European hotels. The breakfast buffet is very good, but a bit pricey. Barcelona is one of my two favorite cities in Europe. I would always plan to stay at Casa Fuster for any visit. Excellent value.
“not graet value for money”
Communal areas in hotel impressive and suggest 5* status. Breakfast very poor; lacked variety and very poor value for money. Great pool area on roof; Great views. ??How frequently sunbed cushions are washed! Be aware the hotel would appear to reserve the right to change the bar prices depending on the entertainment activities in that particular area. Rooms clean but small. Area outside our room was not hoovered the whole time we were there. The hall area inside the room backed onto the bathroom and there was a leak somewhere in the shower. This resulted in the hallway carpet being soaked and by the end of 10 days there was a white 'fur' developing on the carpet. The hotel ambience and presentation would suggest 5 * but other aspects do not. Not good value for money.
“Charming, Great Location, Expensive”
From my 3 day experience... Very charming place, thoroughly clean, decent service, number of exceptionally friendly and helpful staff members, and others reasonably cordial. Terrific location. Nice view from terrace. Even though not in room with street view, still enough natural light allowed to enter room through windows, not luxurious but not unsightly surroundings from small balcony over internal court yard. Ignorable negatives: Not very impressive gym/pool. Area with neon orb lights on terrace (away from seating) swarming with bugs (was a shame, maybe isolated instance, hope they can rectify that). Hard to ignore negatives: food from hotel too expensive, rooms too expensive on days when rates are hiked up.
