“Great for solo traveler used to European hotels”
I found the Casa con Estilo Guest House to be a great experience for me as a solo traveler who has stayed in European hotels before. The guest house is beautiful with paneled walls, antiques, chandelers and a nice terrace. The room I stayed in was a tiny sleeping room about 6 sq meters in size. I was only in room to sleep so it was not a problem for me. The common areas were nice if you wanted to spend time at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Metro station and taxi stop are just steps away. I will say the hotel was a bit noisy in that is shared a building with other tenants. The window to my room was to common courtyard and I heard dogs barking, people talking, kids playing and the noise from the adjacent bathroom with its window open. For me, this was not a problem because I understand how it can be in a European hotel and I was paying a bargain price and knew there would be some compromises. Also, the staff does not speak any English so communication was challenging. Would I recommend this place to others?...yes, it was a nice place for a tourist who is on a limited budget and looking for a comfortable place from which to explore Barcelona.
“Best in Barcelona”
Casa con Estilo is an amazing place, set in a quiet neighborhood, and moments away from all of the sites in Barcelona. We felt so well taken care off, in every sense of the word. Breakfast was perfect, with eggs, and fresh made baked goods, fruit and yogurt. Our rooms were made up and cleaned every day and the surrounds are gorgeous. To top it off, there is a roof top terrace, with amazing views, and a great place to just relax when your walking feet are tired.
“Some Drawbacks”
Negatives: I had a tiny room like a cupboard. Door didnt shut that well. Shared bathroom was a bit annoying. None of the (very nice) ladies spoke any English, which was a bit difficult. The surrounding area is undergoing major renovation for new subway station. Positives: Good aircon in room, decent free breakfast, cheap room, free internet, ladies were really nice. This place was decent value, but I was glad to go to a better hotel and have a bath for my last two days in Barcelona.
“Hidden jewel”
From the outside you would never imagine what is awaiting you on the 6th floor. I was staying there with my daughter for 1 night.Our room had wood panelling, beautiful decor and doors opening onto the lovely balcony. Breakfast was served in a lovely room with a large wooden table and a massive chandelier. My only criticism was that the room was very hot making it difficult to sleep. It was a shame we didn't have longer there. I would definitely go back if staying in Barcelona again.

Dans un appartement ancien avec boiseries, salle à manger avec beaux meubles en bois et fauteuils "de famille" donnant sur une terrasse très agréable et calme. Chambres et sanitaires confortables, propres et avec du caractère. Petit déjeuner bon et copieux. Accueil sympathique. Quartier calme et bien desservi par métro et bus. Parking payant gardé juste à côté. Excellent rapport qualité/prix, avec "le style" en plus!
