“Good value”

Good value for money option.

“If you like to be comfortable, do not stay here.”

Maybe the problem with this hotel is that it is an Aparthotel, where the majority of the rooms are apartments. We were not allowed to use the pool, sauna, or enjoy the breakfast that the hotel was supposed to provide. If you are looking to relax or be comfortable, you should look elsewhere.

“Odd Layout”

The hotel was in a nice neighborhood and the room very modern with comfortable furniture. The only complaint is the layout. Our room faced a courtyard that was very busy during breakfast time. The tile floors in the courtyard and the conversations going on made it very noisy. Early each morning we were woken up by loud footsteps and people talking. Many of the rooms in this hotel face this courtyard, so there’s a good chance your room will be one of them. If your room doesn’t face the courtyard, I’m sure your stay will be great!

“Very Impressed”

My first trip experience with expedia was on a trip to Italy and I was not very impressed with the hotel room where we stayed at. However this time from the minute we walked into our room, I was in love with it. It was a wonderful place and in a very convenient location to the train stations and tourists stops as well as the metro station.

“Hotel”

We were unaware that the kitchen was totally unequipped, no cutlery, crockery, pot pans, kettle etc. We had to go out and buy plastic cutlery and paper plates and bowels. The view from our bedroom window was an enormous brick wall. The bedroom was absolutely freezing during the night. Passage ways were very dark.

“Not comfortable”

The building is modern; it's new; it's well kept; front desk is capable, friendly and professional; free wi-fi; location is great - close to Plaza Espanya (including the metro). So what's missing? In one word - comfort. Bed is extremely hard; room is dark as it is on the bottom floor of the apartment building; room has a kitchenette - but NO service, not even a kettle to heat water.

Area recommendations

Any area in Barcelona seems to be great. I love everything about the city and will most definitely return for a much longer visit. So many things to see and do. Do not buy any of the hop-on hop-off bus services - too expensive and not flexible enough. Instead use the metro - it get's you everywhere in the city in no time. Safe, clean and convenient.

“BCN-Montjuic”

The hotel is good, very well located a few blocks of Plaza España, subway and the Montjuic hill. In the neighbordhood there are many place to for coffee and eat.

Traveller's tip

Try to do the sightseeing bus if you stay a few days. You will see the most important from Barcelona and you can Hop on Hop Off. The bus stop in Plaza España.

“Excellent Value, not Close to City Centre”

My wife and I went to this hotel as a one-night visit to Barcelona, and were very impressed with the size of the room, and the modern architecture of both the room and the hotel itself. The guy at the reception desk, although not able to speak too much English, was superb and helped at every point he could. All in all, we were very happy with the hotel.

Traveller's tip

Go up the cable car, to get a view of the city and the harbour, just stunning.
