“Great hotel, will go back for sure.”

Hotel and staff service are both wonderful eventhough the room is a bit small. Funny that breakfast is not included but mini bar in your room is free! Good neighbourhood and many restaurants around.

“I can always depend on Marriott”

They don't have a concierge, but their excellent team of professional staff bent over backwards to introduce me to their city and make it easy for me to explore on my own. I ran out of Euro on a Sunday and needed to get to the cruise ship fast. They arranged a cab for me that took credit cards and I made it to the dock on time. The room was beautiful and efficient, very modern and maybe small by US standards, but probably about the same as are most hotel rooms in Europe. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very sleek and modern. They have free internet in the lobby. It a fair distance from Las Ramblas, but only a short walk to the hop-on/hop-off tourist bus which is an excellent way to get around to all the main attractions. The hotel was immaculate with plenty of dining in the area. I always felt safe.

Area recommendations
Las Ramblas is where all the action is, but with it comes more noise, pollution and expense. I went in July--high tourist season. The tourist sights were all packed, but very manageable.
Must see
Barcelona for me was mostly about Gaudi. Park Guell is fantastic. Please check out Segrada Familia and either Casa Batllo` or La Pedrera. Picasso museum is a must-do and Jean Miro museum is worthwhile if you have an interest in this artist.

“We would like to return to thishotel in our next trip back to Barcelona”

The Hotel is small but very clean and confortable. The staff is friendly and help us with very good indications about the city and the sorrounding areas. The location is problably one of the best in Barcelona despite that it is not in located in te heart of the downtown area. Nice Hotel to enjoy a very good stay in this beautiful city!

“Highly recommended!”

I was really pleased by the AC Irla hotel. It was as clean, modern and comfortable I could wish for. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. It is situated out of the city centre in a calm and quiet neihbourhood. A metro station is at 10 minutes walk and can bring you easily to the city centre (Placa Catalunya).

Traveller's tip
At Placa de Francesc Maria, 3 minutes walk from the hotel, you can take the Touristic Bus for 2 different itineraries of the city. Very helpful the first day to identify the places who will want to visit during your stay.

“Great room+great staff+great location=great trip!”

Room was a little on the small side, but still very well equipped. Really nice bathroom, plenty of amenities, very clean, and great location! Friendly and helpful staff rounded out the experience to be excellent overall!
