“good hotel at a reasonable price”

Good location. Front desk staff were helpful. Bus stop close by. Food mart just out the back entrance. Reasonably quiet. Went in Mid-October and found it was quite hot and humid.

Area recommendations

In general, the people were helpful and courteous. The hotel is located across the road from a beach but is within walking distance of several good beaches and the boardwalk. Would recommend Bert's sportsbar and restaurant to any hockey enthusiasts. Also, would recommend Cafe Sol, Paulo's Churrasco at the entrance to St. Lawrence Gap. Blakey's and Tapas on the Boardwalk. Recommend Harrison's Cave and Bathseba on the east coast plus the Atlantis Hotel for lunch. All the beaches are public but one has to find the public entrance. Some fo our excursions by bus did not pan out but they provided experience.

“Basic Great Value Accommodation”

Booked here for 2 nights - if you want quiet you have it and if you want something more lively it is not far away. Local bars, restaurants, convenience store and beaches are very close. Recommended and good value for money and friendly, helpful staff.

“Lovely Friendly Welcoming, i'll be back!”

The hotel was lovely the location was convenient, the staff were as friendly as can be and Joy(the hotel cook), well her food was amazing. the hotel/apartment weren't too overpriced. an enjoyable stay was had by all.

“Most comfortable stay”

I had a great stay at Worthing Court Apartment Hotel. The room was very clean. All the amenities they state in the ad are true. Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely go back again.

“Why pay more?”

I've stayed at several hotels in this area but on the "beach side". This trip was going to involve more work days, so I figured, why pay twice as much for a hotel room? Glad I stayed at Worthing Court Apartment Hotel. It was perfect. Also, very nice to have the space to hang out before one checks in or after one checks out. Thoughtful all way 'round.

“Not Impressed”

We stayed at this hotel because of the good reviews however, I would not recommend this hotel. The sheets were soiled, the pipes made a lot of noise when turned on, the shower was much to short for my tall spouse, and the toilet seat was broken. The hotel restaurant was very expensive. You can walk a few blocks to the Big B's supermarket and get cheaper and better tasting breakfast and lunch.

“Excellent value for money”

The Worthing Court is not a resort hotel by any means. It is a housekeeping unit complex of a couple of dozen units, on the wrong side of the road from the beach. There are zero views from the windows. But when you consider its central location, the ease of accessing nearby beaches and the wonderful and inexpensive public transit system in Barbados, these negative aspects were far outweighed by the positive. The rooms are clean and kept that way by daily care; the service at the desk, restaurant and in the rooms is excellent. We had a problem with the TV channels mysteriously decreasing in number for several days (we lost access to the BBC world service and CNN is useless for world news). Despite repeated requests to have the problem rectified, it took about 4 days before a technician was brought in. But this was the off season and there were very residents at the hotel most nights so I guess this was not a priority. Also, on Tuesday nights there is a nightclub down the road that blasts its music at far too loud a volume from midnight until 3 AM but otherwise this neighbourhood is very quiet. AC and all kitchen appliances worked fine, though we never did figure out how to light the gas oven. Food at the restaurant is very good and not at all overpriced compared to other restaurants in Barbados. I highly recommend the pudding and souse. Overall we were very pleased with what we got for what we spent and will consider this hotel the next time we go to Barbados.

Area recommendations

In terms of beaches along this stretch of the south coast of Barbados, Worthing is not the best. Though it is small and intimate, there are no shade trees and no vendors renting chairs and parasols so it is impossible to spend the whole day there reading or resting for hear of getting badly sunburned. Accra (Rockley) beach is only a short walk up the road and is a longer beach with full amenities including restaurants and food stalls nearby so would be preferable for a full day at the beach. Our favourite beach of all is a short bus ride away at Oistins. It is called Enterprise or Miami Beach and it has lovely spreading shade trees that afford shade all day long.

Getting around

The public transit in Barbados is so good and so cheap that we wondered why anyone would be bothered renting a car. The government owned buses and private mini buses all cost a fixed $1.50 Barbados or about 75 cents Canadian to go anywhere on the island. We would hope on a bus going to some remote part of the island and just ride it to the end to see the sights. For less than $10 Canadian we saw pretty much the whole island over a period of 10 days. The private mini buses are more frequent but don't go as far. They can get crowded at times and don't afford a view of what you are passing but are very convenient.

“barbados best hotel no regrets”

great hotel .wonderful staff. excellent food. nice cozy pool great overall service. this hotel is located in the heart of christ church, great location unlimited access to shopping area, food courts, beach across the road. i love this place.
