“Great location to private beach”

Clean, great proximity to private beach and my family had lots of room to spread in the 2 bedroom villa we stayed at..We will use again whenever in Bardados.

“beautiful place”

Directly on the beach, surf lessons just next door, was great for our son he had a great time. Loved our vacations and definitely going back to White Sands beach villas.

“Picturesque site”

This is a lovely property, fairly new, in a great setting right on the beach. This is not so much a hotel as it is condos, both owners and renters, so the usual hotel amenities, (restaurant, bar, etc.) are not available on site, but there are more than enough really good places near-by. We would certainly consider staying there again. The management went out of their way to be accomodating.

Area recommendations

We really love the whole small island of Barbados, but most especially the South coast where many fine beaches and restaurants are located. But really, the entire island dhas much to offer.

“Impressive Villa”

Quality apartment. First class fixtures and fittings - just like being at home. Very spacious, large bedroom, large lounge, large terrace. Full kitchen, but we never cooked any meals apart from breakfast. Excellent 'local' store / cafe at end of road about 250 metres, served ice cold beer at about 75p per bottle, and local food dishes from about £2! Even staff at local restaurants recommended it. Not much on 'The Gap' near the villas, a couple of bars, few shops and restaurants, had to go to other end for a bit of life. Beach ok for sunbathing, but too rough to swim. Waves were quite noisy at times! Public transport easy to use, but hired a car to go further afield.

Area recommendations

Beach not suitable for swimming, Dover Beach about 800 metres away is ok for swimmers. If there are young children may want to try Miami Beach, or far end of Accra Beach, where there were quieter waters. Otherwise, location not a problem as very quiet, local food on your doorstep ( cant get it easily in restaurants - they tend to serve fancy steaks and American dishes). Car hire would be beneficial, especially for families.

“First class place for those not wanting an all-inclusive”

This is just a great option for those travelers looking to avoid the schedules and crowds of all-inclusive resorts. The property is really first class with a very high level of fit and finish. Location is great on a beautiful (almost private) beach and is within walking distance to all kinds of restaurants and attractions. The rooms were very clean and modern with brand new appliances including convection oven, microwave and huge fridge with icemaker and water filter. There were two big bedrooms both with 4 piece ensuite. Weather in Barbados just can't be beat with constant 30 degree C temps and a nice breeze at all times. People are great and there is lots to explore. I can't wait to go back next year!

Must see

The Flower Forest is worth the drive. It is like being in Jurassic Park. Also, the catamaran cruise with Silver moon is worth the few extra dollars to have a uncrowded boat and personal attention.

Dining

Tapas Restaurant and Cafe Luna were great. Local hot tables in the convenience stores can't be beat for great food at cheap prices!
