“vacation 2011”

For those of us that want a nice relaxing resting place after we spend the day exploring the island this place is perfect. Staff are friendly and inside pool area and its flowers were a beautiful site We really enjoyed our time there and will be back for sure.

“Not Impressed”

Sunbay Hotel rooms are not sound proof. As a result, when the cleaning and maintenance staff starts their day cleaning I was interrupted from my sleep by their loud talking and playing music. Furthermore, my room was located close to the elevator bank which was very noisy during operation.

Continental breakfast was not the typical continental breakfast. It only included coffee, tea or juice unlimited and 2 slices of toast and a muffin.

“Not too bad.. but”

The room I got was massive, a huge king size bed awaited me.. The room was very very clean and I had a smile on my face straighaway. The room had ammenities such as a fridge, telephone, A/C, hair dryer etc. The room was opposite the pool and it was very nice indeed. Anyway after using and flushing the toilet, I noticed a leak coming from the pipes which made the bathroom's floor wet. I called reception and got sent the head of the cleaners (sort of facilities manager) to come and have a look at it. She was ever so lovely and offered to move me into another room.. I initally refused because I loved that room too much to want to give it up..lol I ended up moving into a different room on the same floor; but with a smaller bed :(.. I didnt mind in the end. I asked the lady for a microwave, an adapter, and an iron.. All which I got.. (Thank you lovely lady) BREAKFAST. I was offered 2 pieces of toast, a pastry and tea for breakfast. Now as someone from England, this is almost a no no.. I wanted bacon, sausage etc. Anyway I had to pay more than 10usd for the extras.. I ended up going to other hotels to eat. There is no resturant to buy lunch, dinner or even snacks.. No where to get or buy water onsite.. The Gym is rubbish.. The card used to open the door failed on me a few times, and had to go back to reception to fix it.. This also happened to most people I spoke to. All in all, it is a nice hotel. It could become better if they sort out the little niggles.

1. hotel/room was just as in the pictures 2. continental breakfast was 2 slices bread/1 pastry; no options 3. tv in the room was fuzzy. never got fixed for the 4 days we were there 4. very noisy hotel, u can hear every single sound;a door closing,people talking

“Ask About Construction”

The staff was superb. The location was satisfactory. The food service, while limited, was very good. Unfortunately construction was occuring and while written notice was provided after returning from dinner that "hammering" was to occur briefly between 10 AM- 11 AM it actually began at about 8 AM directly below and next door. Other rooms were available when checking in and notice should have been provided so that another room could have been selected. Moral of the story is ask about construction.

“Sunbay Hôtel a la BARBADE”

Hôtel un peu en retrait de la ville, donc peu de magasins à disposition et moyen de transport uniquement par taxi. Pour ceux qui aiment la plage, eau d'un bleu profond, propre et juste devant l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner sommaire, "continental", repas frugal le midi et plus appétissant le soir, tous deux payants et routiniers. Il n'est pas recommandé de boire l'eau du robinet (prévoir achat d'eau). Chambre faite tous les jours, serviettes changées. En bref Hotel accessible pour ceux qui recherchent le repos et le calme mais il faut marchander le coût des taxis pour toutes sorties (villes, visites, restaurant et fast food). C'est le seul inconvénient à mes yeux.
