“NOt for business”

This hotel has a beautiful property. Food is very good at the restaurant. And the staff at the restaurant are very nice and friendly. However, much work needs to be done with the front desk staff in my opinion. Thye don't have a heart of service. They pretty much like to work on their computer and forget the importance of the guest sgtanding in front of them, They have no sense of urgency in anything, and not concerned about the guest inconvinices. It is a long story- but thisis just a summary. By the way, the internet is a nightmare. I repeat.. A nightmare! If you need internet, please consider another hotel. They say there is internet in gthe balcony which is simply NOT TRUE. Thsi is the second time I go to the hotel and this time I was so upset I returned because I remembered how terrible the internet is. Alhtough the property is nice , I will never be back. Good luck!

“Perfect tropical paradise get-away spot”

I LOVED THIS PLACE! I just returned from my first trip to Barbados with my partner, and we absolutely fell in love with this place. The hotel is right on a beautiful beach with lots of kitesurfing, and they have a wonderful deck with beds and chairs facing the ocean so that you can swim in the ocean and then instead of sitting on the sand, you can lay on a clean bed and have a pina colada :) The room was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This is the perfect place for people like us who LOVE tropical locations but don't want a resort or all-inclusive place with family entertainment. Granted, it's located in a place that's not near all of the West coast resort beaches, so if you want everything conveniently located, it may not be the place for you. But we hopped on the dollar bus everyday and took the 10-minute ride to Oistins for the fish fry, to Carlisle Bay for snorkeling, and St. Lawrence Gap for dinner in the evening. If you're typically an adventure-traveler, but you enjoy a little luxury every now and again, this is the place for you. We loved our stay and can't wait to go back in the near future!

“fab hotel - great location for surfing - walking distance to Zed's surf spot.”

great little hotel with v nice deck overlooking a lovely beach food & drink v expensive but that is a barbados wide problem reception v helpful to organise car hire etc. 10 mins from the airport. great location for surfing - walking distance to Zed's surf spot & some days the waves are surfable in front of Silverpoint.

Area recommendations
Zeds for surfing (but much nicer staying at silverpoint) - they only provide basic apartments.

“Incredible Hotel! Great Staff!”

My girlfriend and I stayed at Silver Point for four days last week and had the time of our lives. The hotel grounds and rooms were in impeccable condition and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We travel often and have stayed in hotels all over the United States and the Caribbean and I must say, Silver Point didn't disappoint! Great place for a romantic getaway or a family retreat! Silver Point was amazing!

“lovely again”

we stay here fairly often. Altho it's not perfect, it's a whole lot better than any others we've tried. Outstanding setting, convenient if you want to take a van, gorgeous rooms, nice staff without any attitude. Just wish they had a better restaurant.

“Good hotel and friendly service.”

Nice hotel for lovers of rough seas and (wind)surfing. Clean beach. Nice, albeit very small pool.Too far away from shopping/restaurants (Oistins) Good, frequent and cheap transport available. Sundays everything closed - the towns are then deserted, even most shops and restauranats closed. Best evening is apparently Friday. Local population speaks English and is friendly.

For city lovers I would not recommend this hotel.

“Beautiful with great service but a bit isolated”

There's not much more we could have asked for at our hotel. The staff was courteous, kind, accommodating. The food was delicious. The view was spectacular. We loved the cabanas on the deck overlooking the sea and we enjoyed having breakfast on the open air patio every morning. As most everyone else describes, the hotel is a bit off the beaten path. It wasn't too difficult to find--and we rented a car and drove from the airport--and the hotel staff did a great job providing directions to various points on the island but it's not walkable if that's important to you. It's definitely pretty easy to catch a taxi, though, and it's not too far from St. Lawrence Gap or Oistens. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Area recommendations
Oistens, Christ Church--and especially the Friday night Fish Fry--was awesome. Filled with locals and tourists alike, booming with action and entertainment, amazing fresh food. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

“Silver Point Barbados Amazing!!!”

The Silver Point Hotel in Oistins provided a wonderful addition to our perfect Barbados vacation. The place is spotless, the people who work there extremely friendly, and the grounds are immaculate. Most understated is the restaurant. While not mentioned in guidebooks, this restaurant provides the best local seafood and delicacies. The food was so tasty we found ourselves going back repeatedly. The welcoming staff made us not want to leave! While the hotel is not in the vacinity of the more popular Holetown area, it was perfect for getting away and relaxing. I want to go back and I will!!!!!!

Area recommendations
Holetown was much nicer than Bridgetown with more resorts and restaurants. I stayed on the south coast and it's very quite and lovely. Though I went in the off season, I've been told the whole island is hopping in the winter. Recommend renting a car and just "getting lost." Maps don't do a whole lot of good as most streets off the beaten path are not marked. However, it's impossible not to come upon the ocean at some point and find your way back to where you started.
Dining
There are wonderful restaurants serving Bajan cuisine all over the island. It's a bit spicy to my delight and I encourage everyone who goes to Barbados to try everything including the flying fish national dish. The Cliff was absolutely one of the most amazing restaurants I've ever eaten in anywhere IN THE WORLD. If the food wasn't as great as it is, the view would still be incredible. Dark, romantic and relaxing. Brown Sugar also tops the list though the decor there isn't as lovely as The Cliff. Highly recommend the restaurant at the Silver Point Hotel as well. The Friday Night Fish Fry is worth checking out though plan on picking and choosing as you view each stall.
