“Mango Bay..return visit”
We made a return visit because of a very nice stay a few years ago. Staff were really efficient, friendly and helpful, no problems there. The beach is too small for the number of guests. The standard of the food was good but nowhere at the level of our previous visit. We must have been given one of the worst rooms in the hotel..409.. which was very close to a piano bar/disco and a noisy restaurant. We had one night of disco until 3.00am we asked for a move but were not moved. However the hotel kindly allowed us to sleep in another room on both the next 2 very noisy nights. The transfers at both ends of our stay were excellent.
“İt was only an ordinary one week holiday..İ may go back again.”
I'm satisfied during this one week..
“great hotel great welcome”
spent the second week in October at this hotel. It is early season in Barbados but it's still a great place. Weather was good despit the occasional shower. Mang Bay hotel is a great base for a holiday in Barbados. Customer service is very good and we would be very happy to go back. Food and service was excellent. Ideally situated on the west coast it is easy to visit other places on the island.
“Fabulous!!”
This was our 9th visit to this hotel which should say it all; but just to add, the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, and they are so helpful and friendly. We found the entertainment better this time, with a more modern feel. We will definitely return.
“Great hotel”
We had a great time all the staff were helpful and were a good laugh a great atmosphere in the hotel and very friendly
“Great Time in Barbados”
We enjoyed our stay here at Mango Bay. The staff was very friendly. Would go back there again.
“Can't Wait to Go Back”
This hotel is very small which makes it easy to relax and get to know fellow guests. Their beach has recently been washed away which was the biggest downside to this resort. The staff are exceptionally friendly and overall we had a wonderful time.
“Lovely staff, great location but not a 4* hotel”
I write this review as someone who stays in 4 & 5* hotels around the world quite frequently. Overall we had a nice time at the Mango Bay, its quite a small hotel but that means there is lots of opportunity to interact with the other guests. Staff are very friendly. The food is good for an all inclusive hotel with only 2 buffet nights each week, the rest is a la carte (even for lunch!). The location of the hotel in Holetown on the west coast is also ideal for walking up and down the beaches and visiting other hotels & restaurants in the area. Its also over the road from a newly opened shopping mall and down the street from the local supermarket. In addition the included water activities are very good - the catamaran trip was excellent!! Our criticisms were (1) that the hotel looks very 'tired' and needs a good lick of paint, if you compare this to other 4* hotels we visited in the same area it wasn't of the same standard (we weren't impressed by the standard rooms and asked to be moved - they weren't 4* quality), and (2) there needs to be more attention to clearing up empty glasses both around the pool and in the bar, often there were dirty glasses and ashtrays left for hours and in some cases overnight. This has the potential to be a great boutique style hotel but we wouldn't be comfortable recommending this to others if you are looking for a good 4*, its a 3.5* at very best.
“Relaxation at it's best”
It's very difficult machine to write a review about somewhere, but suffice to say that if you are looking to relax....The Mango Bay is the place to go. The food is excelent and the service is second to none. I read plenty of reviews before booking/leaving and was a little concerned about the weather reports for August and comments about the stream behind the hotel. Well if you questioning your decision, please make sure you don't. We had tropical storms which generally lasted no more than 20-30 minutes. After the sky had cleared, we were back in 29-31 degree sunshine. The stream behind the hotel broke and through twice during our stay and it really made no difference to the hotel or the holiday. Barbados is a wonderful place to go.....and The Mango Bay certainly helps to enhance the holiday further.
“Awesome”
Enjoyed our stay. Small quality hotel. I was very impressed. Enjoyed the beach, pool bar and food. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is the place. if you are looking to party everynight this is not the place.
