“Alex”
2nd time been back here and its was just as good as the first time. Great staff, food, service, comfort, location.... what can I say. Will be heading there again at the earliest opportunity. Rooms are really comfortable and you cannot hear any other guests.
“Wonderful hotel”
The hotel is just great, with a beautiful garden, very good service, nice big room with a terrace. Conveniently located in just 15 min walk from Holetown with lots of shops and cafe. Amazingly beautiful lagoon style pool. Definitely good value for money
“Average to Good but not Excellent”
Colony Club is a nice beach hotel with a Island-like feel. The beach is very nice, and maybe the best I have ever seen. The staff is good and rooms are comfortable. Shopping in Barbados is not that good. There are not many shops to mention. As far as the food goes... ITS SO EXPENSIVE.... EVERYWHERE. A dinner for 4 at the hotel or nice outside restaurant costs at an average of over one hundred and fifty US dollars. And we are talking a Pizza or a Pasta or similar... not New York Steaks or lobster. I have no idea why the food has to be so expensive here. As a matter of fact, Barbados is the MOST expensive restaurant food I have ever expenienced and paid for and I have been around the world (London, Paris, Geneva, Milan, Cairo, Dubai, New York, Maui, Cancun, etc). Its like eating eveynight at Ruth's Chris !!!
“A great place to get away from it all.”
Very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings make this place worth a visit. The food is not cheap in the hotel but it is good quality and there are other restaurants not far away.
“Absolute Paradise”
Our 5th visit to Colony Club over the past 20+ years was as fabulous, perhaps even better than, our prior 4 visits. All staff from housekeeping to management were very friendly & accommodating. Our room was beautifully decorated, well appointed, & very clean, as were the reception, lounges, & dining areas. The grounds were exquisite-a wide array of expertly maintained tropical plants & trees amidst inviting lagoon pools & a lovely beach. Wherever we looked, we had a marvelous view. Although we didn't select a meal plan, the food was so wonderful that we chose to eat at the hotel for every meal except one. Colony Club has such charm & grace, from the mid-day complementary chilled grapes or ice cream served to us whether we were on our private patio, poolside, or on the beach, to the nightly turndown service w/ cards of quaint Bajan sayings, to the manager's cocktail party where we got to visit w/ the manager & mingle w/ guests from all over the world. For us Colony Club continues to be the perfect place for a totally relaxing, quiet stay. We look forward to many more return visits.
“pleasant low-key Caribbean vacation at Colony Club Hotel”
This hotel was ideal for our purpose which was a laid back vacation. You should not expect the glittz of a major a mainland resort - the pace in the Caribbean is much slower, Do take a room with an ocean view it is lovely to sit on your balcony overlooking the sea. We found the staff to be most helpful at all times. The breakfasts, complete with mini newspapers, were very good but we found the other meals to be somewhat expensive. The beds were comfortable. The only negative thing I can say is that it was difficult getting out of the sea. There was a big dip at the edge of the water which was very stoney. The sea was warm and colorful and there is a safe swimming area with floats to which to swim out,
“Not worth the money”
Based on the price & the photos we were expecting it to be a very high end luxury hotel. Instead we found it to be very average. While its hard to complain about a weekend trip to the Caribbean, the hotel itself was not much more than an overpriced Holiday Inn. The beach had "recently" been washed away by a storm so the photos online DO NOT match the reality at all. The small patch of sand that does remain is packed with every hotel guest. you have to wake up very early to get a chair and even then expect to be sitting right on top of everyone else. Also, I wouldn't recommend it for couples who are looking for a quiet getaway as there are a lot of kids running around all day.
“Excellent Hotel and staff”
We stayed at the Colony Club in February 2010 for our honeymoon and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recomend this hotel to others and we can't wait to go back.
“Reasonable”
The location, condition of hotel, cleanliness and facilities were first class. The restuarant offerred reasonable quality and priced food. The beach is superb and general facilities good. The only negative was clear staff reductions, tables in the main lobby full of used glasses/cups for hours and slower service than should be experienced especially at the breakfast buffett where bread and other items were never promptly refilled when empty Also in the 21st century someone needs to mention to the owners that skimmed milk and fat free products (margerine?) are not an unusual requirement
“Very relaxing!”
An excellent hotel, extreamly well positioned on a beautiful stretch of the west coast. The Hotel staff could not do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! would well recommend this hotel!
