Baywatch Resorts - Yellow Bird Hotel offers 22 guestrooms. Balconies open to ocean or pool views. 20-inch televisions come with cable channels. “Beautiful vacation location”
This charming hotel was on the cove in St. Lawrence Gap close to everything... restaurants, bars, bus stop, taxis, shopping...everything. Each room has a spectacular view of the cove which is also the view from the dining room and bar. The breakfast was fabulous every morning. And we highly recommend dinner...especially the three course dinner on Friday and Saturday nights.
“Nice little hotel but....”
Just got back and had a great time. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. Oh yea our beds were like sleeping on a board....hard! Noise is an issue. The club next door is loud and i can see how it would bother some people. If you are like us and can sleep through a train then this hotel is perfect for someone on a budget. If not, then dont stay anywere in the GAP. A party place forsure. We liked it and would go back again. The staff made up for any short commings and made our holiday great!
“Nice but Noisy”
One big issue people should be aware of is the noise from the nightclub next door. Before we left, I read a few reviews that pointed this out but then some of the reviews said it wasn't that bad so I took a chance. Boy, did I take a chance! I couldn't sleep until after 3am when the club closed! If you intend to stay out most of the night, then this shouldn't be a problem but if you like me, consider uninterrupted sleep a part of a great vacation, then be warned. The rooms were nice, the view was great, the little kitchenette was very useful and the hotel staff were nice and very helpful. The nightclub noise just ruined it for me.
“superb hotel”
wonderful location,directly across road from hotel is little bay with fishermans boats, breathtaking sunsets from room balcony,exceptional hotel staff and excellent food,very clean, spotless small pool. Unsure if i would return as music noise from nearby nightclub until 3-30am took some getting used too.

“Great view”
I would not classify this hotel as a 3 star but more like a 2 1/2. The view from the 4th floor was incredible! We stayed in this hotel for only 4 nights and was pleased with it, overall. The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was the best but you have to have patience because it's cooked from scratch! The drinks were great too! It rained a lot while we were there so we did not walk around too much outside. We went from our room to the car most of the time so I cannot comment on the surroundings much. This hotel is in such a terrific location and in the middle of the "Gap". The music from the surrounding clubs was not loud and miserable as others have mentioned in previous reviews. We were not expecting luxury. We stayed there to have that island and local feeling and we got it! Very nice! Overall, we are pleasantly surprised.
“We will be back.”
We had a wonderful time and everyone at Yellow Bird was so happy and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. The room was clean and spacious enough for two adults and two older children. The kitchenette made meals easy. The view is beautiful and calming; and the location fun - can get busy at night but the one way street keeps vehicular traffic to a minimum making it a fun stroll from shops to restaurants etc. Bus stops, mini markets and beaches are all within walking distance too.
“Great Location In St. Lawrence Gap Area With Good Service”
We stayed in the deluxe building right next to YellowBird main's hotel (it's owned by the Yellow Bird). There are only two 'apartments' in this deluxe building for rent, one up and one down and everything is practically brand new in them. Each unit has two bedrooms. We loved sitting out on the patio, watching the sun set and and talking to people as they walked by (we were in the bottom unit). The only down side to this hotel is that it's not right on the beach but the Sea across the street is beautiful (what a great view to wake up to!) and a nice swimming beach is just a short 10 minute walk away. The front desk helped us book activities, negotiate cab fares, and the bar and wait staff gave us some good recommendations of places to go. And when making the hotel reservations on line, Geeta, was super responsive and followed up on emails right away. I know the main hotel is a little older and the rooms are not updated like the units in the deluxe building but from everyone we talked to, the rooms were fine and maybe guests were repeast visitors-- they are less expensive than the deluxe building and you're not in your room much anyways. Their pool is small and not too many people hung out there--why would you with beautiful beaches just a short walk or ride away? We'd strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again if we came to Barbados--great location--able to walk to lots of things and we didn't find it to be noisy inside with the doors closed.
