“EXCELLENT HOTEL WILL RETURN”
MY ELDERLY MOTHER AND I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM 10 NIGHT STAY. EVERYTHING WAS SPOT ON AT THIS HOTEL . FOOD EXCELENT SERVICE AND STAFF FIRST CLASS . FELT AT SETTLED AFTER JUST ONE DAY. FANTASTIC HOLIDAY ALL ROUND COULDNT ASK FOR ANYMORE !!!
“Good service and friendly staff”
Good for couples.
“WORST HOTEL”
I BOOKED A 3 1/2 STAR HOTEL ,THE ALMOND BEACH AND SPA ALL INCLUSIVE ,BARBADOS. THE PICTURES WERE MISSLEADING, THE HOTEL IS VERY RUN DOWN AND WITH 5 FLIGHTS OF STAIRES AND NO ELEVATOR TO THE ONE OF THE BETTER ROOMS WE HAD BOOKED WE THOUGHT ..THIER WAS NO ,INNER HANDRAIL ON THE SPIRAL STAIRS TO THE ATTIC ROOM WE WERE PUT IN. , ONLY FLAT SHEETS ON THE BED , NO MATTRASS PAD AND NO LINED CURTAINS , THE WATER WAS COLD AND TOOK A GOOD 10 MIN TO HEAT AT ALL . HOWEVER THE STAFF WERE POLITE . WITH NO RECAUSE INCLUDING LEAVING THE HOTEL I HAD TO FIND ANOTHER HOTEL .
“Fell well below expectations”
On arrival we were very disappointed with the shabby feel of the hotel. The communal areas were dirty and in a poor state of repair, the sunbeds had seen better days, many of them broken or covered in bird mess. There was no beach whatsoever, we were informed that a hurricane had destroyed it a few years before, it was a mass of rocks and not what we had been led to believe. On the positive side the food was very good although the waiting staff could have been more friendly. It is a shame that this once beautiful hotel has been left in such a poor state as it offered the small and intimate accomodation for adults that we were looking for. I would definately NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!
“Lissa”
My husband and me had and amazing time... this is a great hotel with lovely people... an unique all inclusive!! I went to so many hotels in different countries with all inclusive and I always finish paying too much in my vacation... this is a REAL all inclusive, (including water activities) and more... Love the facility of transportation from hotel to hotel, It was great that we could go to the other hotel and enjoy also there... The tour 100% Bajan is the best one I ever had!! We had so much fun that I can't wait to go back to this BEAUTIFUL island and definitely will go back to the Almonds hotels.
“Relaxing Getaway but limited beach”
The hotel premises was beautiful. I loved the room. The big let downs were the food (plain and basic) and the tiny beach that didn't exist at high tide. The beach issue was my main problem. I went to relax and escape my stresses. I came back relaxed and happy. Next time, I would choose the other Almond Beach resort on the Island which had a large beach.
“Can't wait to go back”
Really good hotel for the price, with (mostly) very friendly staff. One or two of the male staff had "jobsworth" tendencies. Maybe a few more women should be promoted, especially the very efficient, helpful and always immaculately dressed Sophia.
“One of the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.”
This hotel was described as an adult Spa club. It was so small it was claustrophobic. The "Spa" was a beauty salon with a downstairs gym. The therapists were really young. My wife had a facial which she said was lovely but the therapist kept clearing her throat every few minutes indicating she was nervous, there was water available in reception but the bottle was empty and a tea making facility upstairs, at no point before or after was she offered a drink and being pregnant she was a bit put out that it was just a salon with a young therapist not the spa area she was lead to believe, the outside looked like a White wooden shed with a door. The pedicure and manicure booked was in the hair salon, no music or drink or magazine were offered. After 1 and a half hours the nail polish still hadn't dried The second time she returned to the spa she had booked a pedicure and manicure
“Barbados”
Very enjoyable and peaceful
“Hotel Comfortable”
The Water Edge restaurant was an experience, until it started to rain and we had to dash under cover. Enid's restaurant was not worth the visit, the soup we ordered they had run out of, my husband ordered the curry, it did not taste of curry. Sunset Restaurant was o.k. but got a little boring, they really need to liven the meals up a little more. People we had spoke to that had been coming for a few years, said that the menu had not changed in years.
