“Can't Fault this one!”
Bright, cheerful, comfortable and with very friendly and helpful staff we enjoyed a relaxing and restful holiday in lovely surroundings, lots of flowers and blue seas, and pretty fishing villages. The only minor drawback, was the steep pathway and/or steps up to the hotel entrance from the beach. Fortunately it only takes two or three minutes and we were not affected but it may affect people with mobility problems. The food was amazing with a very comprehensive buffet breakfast, and four course lunches and dinners if required (cheaper if you elect to upgrade from B&B to half or full board). Masses of local produce used by the chef, and very acceptable and affordable local wines. Reception staff able to arrange any number of excursions etc, - we did three to Pompeii/Versuvius; The Amalfi Coast, and to Capri and all went without any hitches at all, being collected and returned to the hotel. There were no unexpected items on our bill on check-out, and tipping is not expected - although we did spoil them a little bit because we had had such a wonderful holiday. Two pools - both thermal, one inside and one out, and all the other trappings of a super spa hotel. Fishing festival with fireworks whilst we were there - quite spectacular (end September), and live entertainment in hotel occasionally. The staff were great without exception - all willing to try out their english, and advise us in italien. Would recommend to anyone, although may not suit children and teenagers so well.
“Great views, not much to do...”
Staff was very friendly, they even kept a table for me in the restaurant because I arrived late (9:15pm) which is after dinner ends in the hotel. It is totally geared towards tourists, and as one reviewer commented, most info was in German (although they spoke English). The bus from the ferry terminal (Ischia Porto) was convenient because it drops you off right in front of the hotel, you do have to walk up a steep paved driveway though. I also agree that the dining room is very hospital-like. although it is clean and modern, it lacks a bit of charm. Food was good, but you would likely get bored of that dining room, so plan to go into Ischia Porto for a meal or 2. Beach is a bit narrow and crowded to me, it was high season though...but don't expect tranquility on the beach. (they do have a section of beach chairs and cabana for you though) I'd say an overall good value though.
“hotel san giorgio terme ai maronti”
hotel situato a due passi dal mare nei pressi della spiaggia dei maronti. l'hotel dispone di una bellissima piscina termale e di una vista meravigliosa. Le stanze sono semplici ma confortevoli anche se con alcune pecche tipo doccia con tendina. I pasti non sono niente di speciale e la cucina risulta un pò scialba. Purtoppo le posizione lontano dai posti più movimentati lo penalizzano leggermente poichè gli autobus non funzionano tanto bene.

La posizione è ottima, perchè sulla spiaggia migliore di Ischia, comoda per l'autobus e non lontana da alcuni luoghi di interesse, da segnalare però che lì attorno non c'è nulla, impossibile passeggiare la sera; c'è però il bar dell'albergo con personale simpatico. Abbastanza buona la cucina, anche se monotona (patate al forno di contorno per tutta la settimana, pranzo e cena). Lo staff è cortese e attento. Considerate le due piscine termali e la spiaggia privata, mi sembra un buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour mais nous aurions apprécié avoir une navette pour aller dans le centre ville ou nous récupérer au port, a l'arrivée.

Sorry but my italian is not good enough. I appreciated very much the personnel very gentle people, good food and good service. No towel for the beach, this is the only negative remark.

Das Hotel San Giorgio Terme liegt sehr strandnah und ist mit einer Buslinie gut angebunden. Das Hotel ist super sauber, vielleicht etwas steril in der Ausstattung. Der Service ist absolut perfekt und man wird sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Ganz besonders das Personal vom Empfang ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.
