Beautiful house set in lovely grounds

Posted 27-May-2015
Pros: As stated before the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and nothing was to much trouble for any if the staff
Cons: We stayed in the older section of the hotel and were on the second floor so a lift would have been nice!!
Location: The setting was perfect and the weather allowed the wedding to take place outside which was a big bonus
It was a perfect setting and a perfect day for my daughters wedding - the atmosphere was really relaxing and the staff were brilliant - if I have any criticism I would say that the food was a bit average for the wedding breakfast and we dined in the brasserie on the Friday night and my partner and others in our group had steaks all of which were tough and dry but in the hotel's defence the function being held on that Friday was a celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Hempstead House Hotel so I guess the majority of their staff were attending that

Here for a wedding

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: The large bedrooms and the staff.
Cons: Nothing
We were here for a wedding so decided to stay the night. It was quite expensive but it did include breakfast. We arrived before check in as we needed to get ready for the wedding and the hotel staff were excellent in getting our room ready early so we could change. The room was large and very comfortable and the breakfast and waiting staff were very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Weekend Break

Posted 03-Feb-2015
Pros: The Pool & Spa coupled with the Brasserie - loved the Tahi food too !
Cons: Nothing !!
The Hotel is fantastic for a weekend away, but it's ok to have good facilities and good food but all of this is compliemted by the staff. The staff couldn't be nicer, more helpful or polite.

Pretty good

Posted 21-Sep-2014 on Hotels
We stayed for two nights and were initially very pleased with the room and hotel. However, the huge bed was two singles pushed together, the walls are made of paper and there were bottles being smashed at 6:55 on the first day and after we complained 7:30 the next. There was also a small dog whining in the courtyard below the room from around 6:40 on both days. All that said, if you're an early riser that wants to use the nice spa facilities then it's great, but if you want to sleep get a room in the new part of the building.

A friendly inviting hotel.

Posted 18-Sep-2014
Pros: The staff, location, service and food.
Cons: Can't realistically suggest anything.
Location: It was close to Sittingbourne, we went to Leeds Castle, Whistable and Canterbury Cathedral.
We spent two nights at the hotel and really enjoyed our stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was beautifully prepared and presented. If we return to Kent for another break we will definitely stay here. Forgot to mention the pool - loved it!

A proper English hotel

Posted 31-Aug-2014
The friendliest, most helpful staff anywhere, and efficient too. Excellent facilities - particularly the swimming pool. Food was excellent, both in the Restaurant and the Brasserie. If you want a good cycle ride try Whitstable to Margate along the Saxon Coast Trail - mostly off-road, and flat!
