“Excellent value for their Executive suites”

Its worth paying just a few extra pounds for an Executive suite at this hotel -comprises a living-room and separate bedroom with en-suite bathroom, plenty of space available. Hotel staff are very pleasant Only criticism is the patio restaurant - the chairs are rock solid! Also, the food can be excessively spicy, even for the Thais! Otherwise, everything was fine, and I would recommend the place

“Highly Recommended Hotel”

Having based my decision to use this hotel on the good reviews that other people had written, I was not disappointed. It is worth spending a bit extra to have one of their Executive Suites, two seperate rooms with all facilities, including 2 tv's and a bath! The service was very good generally, the staff are all polite. A live band plays relaxing music until midnight on the terrace each evening. The terrace menu is fairly extensive and very good value for money, but the breakfast choices are very limited, either Thai soup or eggs and toast...I was impressed with how quiet the hotel was after dark. I would certainly recommend this particular hotel.

“It'll do”

Nothing fantastic or amazing about this hotel, though for the price per night you could do much worse in Bangkok. Restaurant is passable, rooms are spacious. Keep in mind that this hotel is well away from the center of the city, and expect 100bhat taxi ride to get you there. I actually had business in the Lad Prao area, so this place was perfectly situated. Also very convenient if you are visiting Vejthani Hospital (about 10 minute walk).

We went to Bangkok to see our son who is a teacher there. The Vaboir Lodge was chosen as it was nearby him. We have travelled with Expedia many times and they always seem to come up with the right hotel to suit us. To some the Vaboir Lodge in Bang Kapi may be a little out of the way of all the action but you can easily get to the attractions using a short inexpensive taxi (£2) ride to the sky train. Another plus is that the Mall Bang Kapi is a 15 minute interesting walk away and you are rewarded for your effort by taking a dip to cool off in Fantasia Lagoon on the 4th floor. Please remember to hire a cap (10 baht) 50 baht deposit or the lifeguard will alert you with a whistle. Bang Kapi is an affluent area but hardly any one speaks any English. At the Vaboir the reception speak a little, and to order your food, the menu has colourful pictures with the item written in Thai and English. You won't be disappointed with the food however, but the Thai spicy maybe hotter than you are used to. There was entertainment every evening in the courtyard and many Thai local people eating at the restaurant which I think is a good sign.

“Good Hotel”

Good Hotel but a bit far away from shopping centers. There's a 7/11, internet cafe and other food/fruit vendors near by, other than that not much around to see.. Good place to stay.. If its just you traveling I have to say this is a good place to stay, quiet at night, nice A/C, good food and excellent room service. Also Good if you're on a budget.

“Vaboir Lodge Royal Suite”

Comfortable hotel, the only noise there was was from some band playing in the early evening outside, but nothing serious. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Everything was there, coffee, tv, A/C. The only drawback is that it's not close to the centre, but then again it's not too far from the airport.

“Nice Staff , very good location”

There are nice staff , good in english . The room is clean but the room on right side is very noise( from the beer garden). You should request the room on left side. The hotel is very good locate 7-11 / shopping mall , there are also shuttle service to bus stop or pier(ladperw 130)
