Hotel exceptionnel ..tout est parfait

Posted 12-Mar-2015

The Peninsula Hotel is a great hotel in a super location that is elegant, user friendly and very safe. The staff is great and morning breakfast is a fantastic way to start the day after one night in Bangkok. Don't miss the weekend market, the floating market and especially the Tiger Temple.

Excellent hotel in the centre of Bangkok

Posted 19-Nov-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, room size, staff
Cons: Chinese restaurant seemed a little uninspired compared to the others.
Location: Near the river, and hence with good connections by river boat to most of the big sights
For ~£200 per night including taxes, this was superb value. On the 32nd floor, overlooking the incredibly busy river, we had a large room, with a settee, desk, and king size bed. Wardrobes were in a separate foyer area near the generously sized bathroom, which had a shower room, toilet, bath (with shower attachment) and two washbasins. The hotel runs its own little craft to take you across the river - useful for the shuttle boats which go up and down river to most of the sights, and for the underground stop. This seems to run pretty well on demand. Two of the restaurants have riverside dining - we'd particularly recommend Thiptara, the Thai restaurant - but there are other air-conditioned alternatives. Staff were always attentive and helpful, and the hotel was spotless. Sheets, towels etc changed very frequently. We'd definitely stay again if in Bangkok.

Great hotel in a nicer part of bangkok

Posted 18-Nov-2014
This is really luxurious lifestyle in this part of bangkok. Unlike the main silom area, this place is a lot of calmer and pleasant yet there are full of life and character. The hotel takes on this charm and made it even better. Well done!
