“Everything we needed”
despite size of hotel and large number of visitors the hotel manages to keep the place incredibly clean and tidy and staff always friendly and willing to help. Bangkok is a sight seeing city so if you want somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep with the added bonus of a swimming pool or 2 then this is ideal especially at such a reasonable price. only a short tuk tuk or taxi ride away from all the main sights. would definately go back.
“Excellent cheap hotel in centre of Bangkok”
This Hotel is a very good cheap option compared to other hotels in Bangkok. The Staff were extremely helpful and pleasent and the Hotel had very good amenities. Stayed there twice and was not disappointed
“Mixed Value”
The hotel is well placed for many attractions with Wat Po and the Grand Palace within reasonable walking distance (depending on the humidity) with a number of less visited sights within closer reach. The accommodation was good value, but the cost of using WiFi, normally complimentary in even basic accommodation was far too high. The pool is great and there are plenty of loungers if you want to escape the city for some relaxation - although the bar prices are again quite high and they don't like you having your own drinks (even soft drinks). Finally, the hotel 'taxi' drivers are quite pushy (typical for Bangkok), but beware: they quoted at least double the cost of a metered taxi.
“reasonably good”
stayed here for 3 nights, its 10 mins in taxi from khaosan rd, 30 mins from intl airport. its a big hotel spread over 3 towers. no skytrain nearby so its taxis/tuktuks. no real complaints except that i had my wallet nicked when i was out in the MBK shopping centre and it had my room key in and on return to the hotel they promptly charged me for the room key loss which i thought was a little unfair. i would say overall the size of the place dilutes the level of service but its still somewhere that i'd consider on a return to bangkok.
“A great welcome into Bankok”
I only stayed here a couple of nights but Check-in was very efficient and seamless. Rooms were in good condition and staff members very helpful, it's fairly easy to access central bankok from here. The pool has a fantastic view of the city at night and food prices are reasonable.
“quality hotel at a great price”
hotel right in the middle of market area;great pool area with a great bar if a little pricey for bangkok.buffet breakfast was great apart from the coffee.
“Kind of OK place to stay”
The rooms are quite spacious, but carpet is kind of old so does not feel nice, Its right above the BoBae market which was a surprise as the market opens way early in the morning (around 0600). Also the taxi service from the hotel is a rip off. They are overpriced. For getting dropped at the Airport they initially said its 1500THB for van plus the Highway toll and then after negotiating they brought it down to 1200THB normal taxi I beleive is around 500THB. I asked the Taxi driver to give me a call when ready to go (around 0430) and he never did and once I got down around 0500, he was all fuming asking me why I could not get down on time.....wondered who was the customer.... The restaurant on the 12th floor is also nothing great, I could never get a hot coffee after dinner, by the time they got it to me it was luke warm, inspite of me asking them to get it hot.
“The Location is not good, the front of hotel is the market”
Not comfortable if you have to parking the car, this hotel is located in BoeBe Tower, you've to going up very high level for parking the car. The room is clean and look good but the some staff doesn't have service mind.
“One to be avoided at all costs”
This hotel has provided the worst experience I have had out of 14 satys in Bangkok during the past four years. From the consistently rude and unhelpful staff, to the impossibly low quality of the breakfast, I was worn down by the end of my stay in that I almost expected to be treated with abuse in some way during the walk from room to Hotel foyer. I initially was impressed by the rates offered for this hotel when comparing hotels on Expedia and accordingly booked a room here for the duration of my 12 day stay. This proved to be a false economy as the for the extra money it cost me each day in order to enjoy an acceptable level of comfort I could have stayed in a much better hotel. For example, the breakfasts here were so appalling that after two days I did not eat breakfast in the hotel again and ate in a nearby restaurant each day, even though I had prepaid at the hotel. Everything from a drink of water to internet access (in public lounge) incurs an additional charge......Internet access for example entailed buying a ticket which costed access at the rate for an hour that I pay for a whole month unlimited here.....this is no exaggeration. This was particularly galling as I needed to work whilst away and room internet access (which was given as available in hotel description) was essential for me....in the event I had to work in the lobby - not ideal. I could write a further chapter about the shortfalls of this hotel but am running out of characters. In short AVOID, AVOID.
