“Better then i expected from a 4 Star.. Very Happy =)”
Im very happy with the hotel. - Friendly Staff - Beautiful Room - Excellent Service This is a great hotel for groupie & teens Not so great for family
“Okay but much better hotels in the area.”
We stayed for 4 nights in gold suite. Room was okay but cleanliness and maintenance could have been better. Hotel staff were not particularly friendly but were not rude either. Located close to BTS which is great however walking down the deserted back road at night to/from BTS is not ideal. Sheraton Sukhumvit up the road has covered walkway to BTS which is great. Breakfast quite good.
“Great location for nightlife.”
The Grand Sukhumvit is a good place to stay if you want to be near the "Red District" nightlife. It is a little pricey but their rooms are nice and comfortable. Do not use their computer room. It is way overpriced and their computers are slow. Next door behind the 7-11 there is a internet place that is about a tenth of the price of The Grand Sukhumvit's and way faster. Do not eat breakfast there unless it is included with your room. It is also way overpriced for what you get.
“5 nights in Grand Sukhumvit Bangkok”
I arrived at the hotel at around 08:00 and after a four hour stopover in Abu Dhabu I just wanted to crash - the hotel let me check in early and the room was already prepared. The room was extremely large and had a seperate bath and shower as well as a massive closet. It was nicely decorated and the bed made me just want to never get up. I didn't eat at the hotel simply because there were so many resturants that I could go to easily from the hotel - Bourbon street, Fuji and limencello to name a few. The location of the hotel in Sukhumvit is a major plus it is literally a minute to the skytrain and a 10 minute walk to the metro (you can grab the skytrain to the metro if you want) and if you are worried about travelling with a family through Nana plaza you don't have too - just walk around the side up soi 6 and the skytrain is right in front. personally for a hotel right next to Nana I never once had to pass through on my travels. The only thing that annoyed me was that you had free internet access in the lobby and not in your room - the room rate for the internet was just crazy.
“Dont go there. They are crooks!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Very annoying reception w attempting to con me out of the kind of room I asked for. Staff could not understand simple thing like where was the Thai Handicraft place and when they did not know they said it is being "renovated " to stop me from bugging them anymore. Breakfast in am was very poor quality and very expensive for the quality of food. I went there because of someone's recommendation on Expedia but my experience was very negative. WillNEVER go there and DONT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO GO THERE.
“Great hotel near everything Sukhumvit has to offer”
This was my second time staying at the hotel and was again extremely satisfied. Was upgraded to an apartment as no non smoking suites were left. This was furnished to a high standard, wooden floors, sofa, plasma TVs, mini bar etc. Pool area was very relaxing but not much sun (but then again the sun rarely pokes through the Bangkok skies due to smog and humidity!) Poolside swim-up-to bar was a big plus, you can't beat a cold Chang beer when in the pool! Food menu was also flawless. Never made breakfast so cannot comment, but dinner buffet was just 5 star with everything on offer and only 400Baht or so for hotel residents. Hotel bar was a bit too posh for my liking but thats not really a complaint. Live music early evening (three Fillipino singers when I was there) were very good, but MUCH more lively bars are to be found nearby the hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive - always smiling. However, one or two of the male staff were a bit cold to my Thai girlfriend, I didn't think much of it as I know they must see so many westerners with Thai ladies. Maybe they resent it, I don't know.
“Nice place”
Bit hard to find if you don't know your way. Close to downtown shopping and skytrain. Very nice staff and good hotel.
“Great value for Money and great location”
Clean and confortable with good breakfast spread in the main restaurant. Relaxing bar with soft live music to enjoy excelent cocktails.
“Will come back on my next visit to Bangkok.”
We were impressed with the warm welcoming and the services from the staff. We will come back on our next visit to Bangkok.
“Good hotel in adult area”
The hotel was nice and staff friendly. Bathroom was large with a separate shower and bathtub. Location might be good or bad depending on your tastes. It's close to the girly bars and massage parlors in the Nana Plaza area a block away. Those looking for a family atmosphere might want to try a different hotel.
