“Great for Bumrungrad”

We picked this hotel because it is literally across the street from the hospital. We were initially surprised by its small frontage on the road, but the staff was helpful, the room was larger than we expected and the b-fast better than expected as well. For the price, it was great. We enjoy walking around the streets in Sukumvit and enjoy the two-hour massage at "The King and I." We aren't into partying, and were disturbed one night by folks in the next room, but this isn't a dive by any stretch of the imagination. The staff helped us in our 3:30 am departure to the airport. We will definitely go back for our next visit, especially if prices don't go up.

“3 star price 5 star room, great location”

FuramXclusive is a good hotel in a good location, i have stayed in bangkok 10 plus times, in all area's and from 2 star - 5 star. what I look for in bangkok hotels is air con, location to sky train, distance from airport, gym and no street noise. from the airport this hotel is just off the highway so travel time is quick. it doesnt have a 5 star lobby but the rooms are!!! first thing i noticed was the small kitchen, the entertainment system, tv,dvd player and small stero. an ok selection of english tv. if you need to visit the bumrangrad hosptial its opposite the hotel. if you need a place long term 2-4 weeks then this hotel with its small kitchen and no outside noise is idea. the location is good, its 5 mins walk away from nana plaza.. if your into bars and the adult side of bangkok and its close to two sky train stations, 2 stops (10mins) and your at siam paragon (big shopping centre) Staff are very friendly,

“Okay”

The Hotel is centrally behind Bumrungrad Hospital. I was there for surgery, so this was very convenient. The Street (Soi 1) has a few Happy Marts and 7 Elevens, however if you walk to the main road there is a Villa Mart (Grocery Store) located across the street in a nearby shopping complex and numerous stores. Food at the hotel is okay, however it is pricey. Breakfast Buffet (was free) and included the basics, which includes a omelate (made to order), coffee, tea, pastries, fruit, etc... Same menu everyday, so do not look for much variety. The street has a very good restaurant down the street called Elephan, which is a nice coffee shop also. They have a great breakfast. Also there is a very nice massage place in the adjacent parking lot.I have seen some complaints in regards to the street the hotel is located on, however I found it no different then any other street in Thailand. SInce it is located behind the hospital, there is constant traffic, medical personnel walking around at lunch time, etc... I felt safe enough to walk around at night time, as a single woman.

“Good hotel with reasonable price”

As our main reason is to do routine check up at Bumrungrad Hospital, this is the best option to stay.

Area recommendations
For Shopping, can go on foot to all Bangkok famous Cerntral Chidlom, Central World, Siam Paragon, MBK and etc.

“Convenient to Bumrungrad”

Stayed here for locality to Bumrungrad. Hospital is about a 2 minute walk, you can't find anyuthing more convenient. Also convenient to the sky train and to the Nana area. Plenty of restaurants and shops to keep you busy. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was limited but no complaints from me as I like to keep it simple anyway.

“Good Location”

FuramaXclusive Sukhumvit, is nicely located. 5 mins walk to the BTS train and equidistant from Siam Square (for shopping) and Nana, Sukhumvit junction (for night life). Both are 2 stations away and takes approx. 3-4 mins by train and 15mins if you walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

“good value for money”

I have arrived very late at night, the lobby is small and old , I was given an upgrade to a bigger room . the suite was very big with king size bad , lcd tv microwave, big fridge the shower was a bit of disappoint , the breakfast area is small and old the food is ok. the location is good - close to siam paragon and MBK ( two skytrain stops) overall the staff was very friendly ( they let me leave my suitcases for the whole day and even let me take a shower when I came to take them back. Overall for the price which I paid I received well over my expectations.

“Would stay there again.”

Good location, just a short walk or a 10 baht moterbike (I gave them 20 baht and got great service during my stay) ride to the main Suhkumvit Road and the BTS rail station. Hotel is opposite one of the main large hospitals so some good food stalls along the road (Soi 1). Couple of laundry shops near by, drop off in the morning, pick up in the afternoon, also good coffee shops along the road.

Area recommendations
Suhkumvit or Silom both on the BTS rail line which makes it very easy to get around. Both have good shopping and nightlife close by.
When to go
Try the wet season as it is the low season and you can get some very good deals on accommodation and shopping. Just be mindful that it rains most afternoons in Bangkok for 2 to 3 hours. Go out early, shops open at 10am and get back to your hotel around 3pm, have a shower and a nap ready for going out at night.
Getting around
Walk, motorbike taxi, Tuk Tuk (get a price first) the BTS rail. Only use taxis early morning, mid day or late at night, peak hour traffic crawls.
What to pack
Light cloths, good walking shoes and a small compact umbella if traveling in the wet season or a good hat in the dry season. cover up or get burnt by the sun.
Dining
OK to eat at road side stalls or in the food markets (cheap eats), but only eat fresh cooked hot food, don't eat something that has been sitting there for you don't know how long. If a lot of locals are eating there it can not be to bad. Otherwise eat at up market expensive restaurants in the big shopping centres or in the more modest ones up any of the Soi's running off the main roads.
