24 hour stopover, should have stayed longer!

Posted 16-Oct-2014
Booked a standard room but was upgraded to a fabulous suite with river views. Enjoyed the local bazaar and eateries, the market and Robinson's store. Pool was devine!

Excellent location with lovely staff

Posted 13-Oct-2014
I really like this hotel. We got upgraded to a bigger room on top floor and it has everything we need. The hotel is in good location, Robinson mall on your doorstep - private entrance to mall from hotel which is so handy. There are many little shops adhere you can buy food and fruits just outside the hotel. The hotel itself has no bar but it has a restaurant and a nice pool. You can try nearby bars too. The breakfast is good but a little chaotic, I guess it's due to staff shortage which can get a little annoying as they often run out of food and fruits in a busy morning. It was busy at weekends especially. ( hope they look into it). Other than that breakfast is good and staff are friendly and helpful. There is also room service which is good. You can also go to the Mall to eat- there are some nice restaurants to choose from . The hotel is also short walk to the train station and express boat. I quite like the fact the hotel is in good location for everything you need. Also, ideal for family and it's quite being by the river is quiter. I will definitely use this hotel again when in Bangkok

Hard to Find better

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Very close to BTS and Central Pier, say 2-5 minute walk depending on person. Robinsons store just underneath, small market and restaurants nearby.
We have stayed at the Centre Point Silom twice now and after this stay have vowed that if we visit Bangkok again we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is just so handy for everything such as BTS and water ferry. Plus some lovely little places nearby to eat. We have stayed in a number of places in Bangkok and although they have all been good this one stands out for us.

Beautiful hotel in great location, a must!

Posted 07-Oct-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: I can't actually think of anything
Location: Having Robinson's, restraurants, markets, shopping and fast food nearby was so inconvienant. We also visited MBK's shopping centre and the Hard Rock C
We really enjoyed everything about this hotel. The facilities are tasteful, the location is unbeatable and I found the staff to be incredibly helpful. There's a bell service (wonderful for trying to find your way around town), polite guards on the doors (great with feeling safe in a new city) and the Front Desk were welcoming. The breakfast had so many choices, the gym came in handy to work it all off and the pool had breathtaking views. It was my first time in Bangkok and I was completely lost as to where to book. I would recommend this for everyone, it's a must stay!

Hotel needs a good renovation

Posted 24-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Renovate
Location: Old part of town, dirty and insufficient facilities
Hotel is old and located in an area that has insufficient facilities and restaurants for tourists. The neighbourhood the hotel is located is old and dirty. The rooms require a renovation.

First Class Hotel in every way.

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Pros: Customer service. Room size.
Cons: Wi Fi in room was inconsistant at at times. But connection was always available in the hallway.
Location: Very busy in Bankrak. Lots of shopping possibilites excellent for Jewellery shops, street food and right next to BTS
From the moment I arrived the service was amazing. Everyone had a really good grasp of English and were very helpful at all times. The room was spatious more like a flat actually with an amazing view of the city from Balcony. The location is perfect as the hotel is right next to a shopping centre with restaurants and a supermarket right below. BTS is a few minutes away. Amazing value for money. If I am in Bangkok in future, I would definately book again. Steve (UK)

The general manager is very helpful

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: Room size and location
Cons: Staff
Location: It is a part of ROBINSON mall where you get all food and many good shopping options. The prices at SILOM are much better than sukhumvit etc.
We stayed for 1 night on 4th sept while on our way to Hua Hin. We reached around 8 pm evening of 4th sept. The reception guy was a bit rude when we asked for complementary bedding for our 5 year daughter which is being given by many good hotels across the world and demanded Baht 1400 for a bed for a 5 year old while the room rate was about baht 2200/2300 per night !!!! And asked for breakfast buffet charges for a child who might not even eat a full toast !! Many hotels are now taking advantage of the children which is sad. The room allotted to us had a door in between connecting to the adjacent room which means it was a suite with 2 rooms with 1 room alotted to us .... i went to the reception for room change as i cannot sleep with noise and the General manager, i think named JOEY , was very helpful and upgraded to a beautiful room , which had an extra bed as well............. made my day !!

Bangkok base

Posted 31-Aug-2014
Pros: Huge rooms, helpful staff, excellent facilities and with good public transport on your doorstep.
Cons: It is a modern block so lacks a buzz, enhanced by the huge empty corridors.
Location: Location of the hotel is ok, daytime is Bangkok at full volume, night-time strangely quiet.
Had 2 rooms for a group aged 16 to 78 years old, and proved an excellent base to explore Bangkok, while providing a quiet cool refuge when needed from the real Bangkok outside the door. Both river taxis and sky-train are minutes around the corner, so avoiding taxis is easy.

Excellent Choice

Posted 23-Aug-2014
I stayed in Centre Point Silom for 4 nights in the start of our honeymoon trip. It was the best hotel we stayed in comparing with other hotels we stayed during our stay in Thailand. Room was big and very comfortable. House keeping very organised. I found breakfast to be excellent and offered a lot of choice. Location is near Chao Paraya River which is calm and not as busy as Siam or Sukhmvit but yet everything is easy access and available. GYM and Pool was nice. Robinson supermarket is in the same building which is very handy in case you need to buy anything. Overall, I am very pleased that I chose Centre Point Silom for my trip.
