The general manager is very helpful

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: Room size and location
Cons: Staff
Location: It is a part of ROBINSON mall where you get all food and many good shopping options. The prices at SILOM are much better than sukhumvit etc.
We stayed for 1 night on 4th sept while on our way to Hua Hin. We reached around 8 pm evening of 4th sept. The reception guy was a bit rude when we asked for complementary bedding for our 5 year daughter which is being given by many good hotels across the world and demanded Baht 1400 for a bed for a 5 year old while the room rate was about baht 2200/2300 per night !!!! And asked for breakfast buffet charges for a child who might not even eat a full toast !! Many hotels are now taking advantage of the children which is sad. The room allotted to us had a door in between connecting to the adjacent room which means it was a suite with 2 rooms with 1 room alotted to us .... i went to the reception for room change as i cannot sleep with noise and the General manager, i think named JOEY , was very helpful and upgraded to a beautiful room , which had an extra bed as well............. made my day !!

Bangkok base

Posted 31-Aug-2014
Pros: Huge rooms, helpful staff, excellent facilities and with good public transport on your doorstep.
Cons: It is a modern block so lacks a buzz, enhanced by the huge empty corridors.
Location: Location of the hotel is ok, daytime is Bangkok at full volume, night-time strangely quiet.
Had 2 rooms for a group aged 16 to 78 years old, and proved an excellent base to explore Bangkok, while providing a quiet cool refuge when needed from the real Bangkok outside the door. Both river taxis and sky-train are minutes around the corner, so avoiding taxis is easy.

Excellent Choice

Posted 23-Aug-2014
I stayed in Centre Point Silom for 4 nights in the start of our honeymoon trip. It was the best hotel we stayed in comparing with other hotels we stayed during our stay in Thailand. Room was big and very comfortable. House keeping very organised. I found breakfast to be excellent and offered a lot of choice. Location is near Chao Paraya River which is calm and not as busy as Siam or Sukhmvit but yet everything is easy access and available. GYM and Pool was nice. Robinson supermarket is in the same building which is very handy in case you need to buy anything. Overall, I am very pleased that I chose Centre Point Silom for my trip.

Huge Room, Great View

Posted 19-Aug-2014
The hotel room we stayed in had a spectacular view of the river! The room was gigantic (a little bit dated, but very clean) and had a full kitchen suite and washer. The breakfast had a great variety, and was included with our stay. We were very happy with our choice to stay here on our honeymoon.

Good location

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: The location and good service.
Cons: The cleanliness of the room.
Location: Good restaurants and shopping nearby.
We got a good room where we are able to see the sun rise. It is also a very good location where there's shopping areas nearby. There's also a sky train station which is 5 minutes away. The breakfast has good variety and tasty food.

Great location - BUT A HUGE NEVER AGAIN!

Posted 05-Aug-2014
Cons: SERVICE
Location: it does have a great shopping centre under it with a really good supermarket and food court
Check in was good - our room was not ready but we were given free internet while we waited we were shown to our room it had a nice view but the room was so hot when we arrived it took more than an hour to cool to a good temp, the air con sounded like an aircraft taking off when running The Free internet did not work in our room - they were responsive and came up to fix ASAP but they never fixed it and we went out As the room was so hot we left our air con on - one of the hotel staff entered our room and turned this off - i found this concerning that they entered our room with out permission and touched things - what else did they touch with out permission The manager moved us as the internet still didn't work 3 hours later to another room - this one was refurbished and nicer BUT - the floor was so new it Cracked a creaked so we got no sleep this was no small cracking i really liken it to screwing up a plastic bottle and letting it crackle back to its normal shape and this happening over and over and over again - thank goodness we were checking out at midnight to catch our flight Also getting any staff to help took ages 20-30 min to get bags moved 30 min to move rooms the bell boys were smug and not nice and the front office staff were rude This was our second stay as our first was very good about a year ago but never again

Dear Mr. Dan, Thank you very much for your kind comment and your support at our Centre Point Hotel Silom. I apologize to hear that you had an inconvenience during your stay with us. After I received your comment, I immediately discussed with my Housekeeper and Chief of technician to sort the problems and found that that room was scheduled for renovation. I have checked and rechecked the room after the renovation for defects to prevent the same problems in the future. And I also discussed with my Front Office Manager to brief the team to be more courteously and professional. I apologize once again for your disappointment at your recent stay. My team and I will try our best to make our Hotel and services meet your most satisfaction in the future. Thank you very much for your kind patience and understanding. Have a good time. Very Affordable and Great Location

Posted 23-Jul-2014
Pros: Location and Price. Comfortable, clean and staff were helpful
Cons: Limited English Language TV stations.
Location: Excellent location being just around the corner from Saphon Taksin BTS station and the main riverboat Pier
One of the best things about this Hotel is Location. A few minutes walk to a BTS Station and also the main Pier for catching the tourist boats that ply the river. The Hotel is also connected to a Robinsons Department store with a supermarket and food outlets. This makes it very convenient. The Patpong Markets are only 2 BTS stations away, the River is a very short walk and The beginning of Silom street close by where there are plenty of restaurants, a food market. The room was very comfortable but it should be noted this is a dry Hotel. Breakfast buffet is good and the pool has nice views. Very limited English Language TV stations.
