“Good Cost-Benefit; Good Location”

Walking distance from Sukhumvit road that has everything, even a close sky rail station. Pool is small. The room has everything you need, full kitchen, etc; there are many modern details that look nice. The tv, stereo etc are new. Good for a short stay.

“Sukhumvits quality hotel”

I stayed at the Aspen and enjoyed it there. The rooms where spacious with a small kitchen and confortable bed. The hotel was clean and the people were helpful. Would stay there again and that was my 2nd time there.

“Just Like Home/Better Than a 5 Star!”

We stayed 45 days in Bangkok at the Aspen Suites on Soi 2. Had no knowledge of Bangkok or the areas when we booked the hotel. Chose it because of the pictures and description given. To our delight, it lived up to everything listed and went far above in the hospitality shown by this hotel. It is located in a very convenient area.....close to grocery, food, post office, banks, hospital, and the sky train. Staff became our family. Breakfast was delicious. Pool is nice and weight room adequate. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Made so many friends here at the hotel. Very friendly. Get more than what you pay for! Can't say enough about how pleased we were with this hotel choice. Will definitely recommend and will absolutely positively return and stay there again. Better than a cold 5 star!

Area recommendations
Would recommend most all of Bangkok. Loved this city! Would love to live there! We frequented the Siam Paragon and MBK the most but all areas are interesting and there are so many beautiful things to see. Also loved Little India/Old Siam. People are so friendly and kind. Paragon and MBK are great eating places and shopping heavens. Little India is fun. Highly recommend a river boat ride and definitely tour the temples and shrines in Bangkok. Make sure you bring good walking shoes! Lots to do!
When to go
We went for July and half of August and loved it. Not too hot and not too much rain yet. Rates were down....not the tourist season. Queens Birthday is August 12th. Each day was pleasant temperature, only a couple hot days. Had about 4 days that it rained and not for long. Truly love Bangkok.

“Decent Hotel”

Aspen Suites is a decent place to stay but should not be rated 4 stars. There are several places in the area that are much nicer it just depends how much your willing to spend. I caught this one on sale so it was okay, but i wouldn't pay full price. The checkin service wasn't too great and no one asked if i wanted help with my bags. Got to the room and couldn't get inside and had to walk back down. That is why staff should take your bag and walk you to the room in the first place. The location is okay and close to the nightlife. The tuk tuk is available most of the time so you need not walk if it's too hot. There was not charge for guests in case that is something your interested in. Overall a decent joint just a bit worn in some areas.

“Everything an hotel needs to be.”

We found this hotel on the Expedia site and it seemed to be what we were looking for in an hotel and this proved to be the case. On our return to Bangkok, we again decided that as we had gotten to know the area, we would be happy to go back to the same place. A free tuk tuk took us to the main shopping area where it was only a short walk to the skytrain. It was only two stops from the Siam shopping complex and another two stops to BKH or whatever shopping centre. Both places are lots of fun. We especially loved the street stalls for eating along the street in which the hotel is located. A detour into Annie's bar area through to the next street led to the best Thai massage. Loved the location.

“Not Impressed by front desk”

Received a room next to laundry. The front desk refused to change rooms (eventhough there were plenty available) unless I upgraded to a delux room. By far the worst service I received in many years of travelling. Staff other than front desk was pleasant.

“Amazing Thailand”

Hotel location is very good ,convinient to all places,hotel have tuk tuk free service which drops you to main road,you can take taxi from there or you can take train.Hotel provides you one half day sight seeing tour with tour guide,that was unexpected .Breakfast was enough spread for this type of hotel,staff were warm & friendly and always helpful

“Clean hotel, good location, bad service”

Everything was OK, but when we used the shower the electricity power of the room fell down. We talked to the reception about the problem since the first day of our stay and the problem was never solved. The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable, the breakfast is nothing special and the location is good.
