“Stay here every year”
The hotel is competitvely priced and the rooms, facilities & service all very good. I recommend you pre-pay for the breakfast buffet when you make your booking, as it is excellent. Mingles pub in the hotel is a great place for dinner in the evening if you don't want to go out. The only downside of the hotel is that it is located a bit away from the popular tourist atractions. However, the MRT is only a 5 minute walk away or the very helpful bell captains will summon you a taxi (these are v.cheap in Bangkok) and tell the driver where you want to go. The bell captain also gives you a note of the taxi's licence no., in case you leave something in it (and this also acts as a deterent to any unscrupulous taxi drivers)
“the best hotel i have ever been to.”
i have stayed with almost all the brand of hotels like Htatt, Sheraton, Marriots etc but more than any other property i like the Amari Atrium very much.
“Very decent hotel”
It was very comfortable. Concierge (a gentleman named Paitoon) was super helpful with my most unexpected demands - I wanted a kaffir lime tree plant - packed with water for travel - they made it happen with absolutely no inconvenience to me. We didn't have time to check out the pool or gym etc, so can't comment on that. However breakfast was just ok. Too much cooked food, and no muesli or simple boiled eggs! They were very helpful and efficient in calling us a taxi whenever needed. Also the extra check of taxi in case we left anything behind. It was like we were being pampered! All the staff was very efficient and polite.
“great hotel with attentive staff”
excellant breakfast included with room- friendly staff with good english-very nice 14th floor swimming pool- we left an iphone in the room when we checked out and it was recovered and held for us at the desk - overall a fabulous place to stay - we will be back
“Not for first time Bangkok travelers.”
Okay here's my short review for Amari Atrium. Me and my boyfriend stayed there from 24th to 29th March 2011. 1. It was far from everything except the International Airport. Ask the taxi driver at the airport to use Meter. The nearest public transport is Petchaburi MRT station, located about 1 km away, 10 minutes walk from the hotel. 2. The room was old and not so big. ALL THOSE BIG WINDOWS IN THE PHOTOS COULDNT BE OPENED. They have smoking and non smoking room. 3. No wifi in your room, only at the lobby. You have a local Internet connection in room, but not free. They charge by hours and by day. Quite expensive. 4. Don't use any service in the hotel if you are a budget traveler. Freaking expensive (include the minibar). 5. Some men outside the hotel would ask to take you to come tourist spot, like the Jewelry Factory and such. Don't bother deal with them, take a Meter taxi to where you want to go or just walk to the MRT. Those places are boring and very expensive. 6. You can go straight to the Weekend Market using MRT too. IF you want to visit the China Town, remember they open everyday EXCEPT Monday. You can get to HuaLamphong MRT to walk there. Otherwise, go to Silom MRT to get everywhere on skytrain. 7. If return to the hotel from anywhere using tuk tuk, be aware that they would most likely mistook your Hotel to another Amari one also located on the Petchaburi road. 8. If you cannot live without using Internet on your phone, buy NET SIM by TrueMove for Edge or 3G network.
“AMARI ATRIUM EXPERIENCE”
very clean hotel with friendly staff. the breakfast is well worth the price. they even upgraded me to the corner suite. I would suggest booking here if you have a lot of planned activities in ASOKE area. Otherwise I would recommend something else if you plan on doing more shopping or sightseeing. otherwise, great hotel.
“As usual, a pleasant experience.”
I've stayed at this hotel whenever I go to Bangkok. I have never been disappointed. I usually get good attention. I always love the diversity of residents which stay at this hotel (a fabulously beautiful girl from Morocco, a elevator cab full of friendly and beautiful Qatar Airlines flight attendants, beautiful Ukranian women, etc. etc. I do not think the massage parlor here is worth 850 baht for one hour. The massage parlor on Petchburi Road is also too expensive and not worth it (400 baht/hr). The Emerald Hotel use to have the best masseuses I've ever had in my life, but they did away with the Bulan Spa and got their own girls...and they are horrible now.
“Great Hotel - except perhaps for the location”
The Amari Atrium is a typical, big city hotel catering for both business travellers & tourists & is well maintained & run . The rooms are clean and pleasantly furnished, with all the amenities you expect. Bathroom very clean and tidy. Staff at check in, in the restaurants and around the hotel very friendly & efficient. Its well worth paying for the breakfast buffet when you book your reservation - a great selection, as much as you can eat and without the uncivilised push & shove of some large hotel buffet breakfasts. Intertnet access in the rooms is quite expensive, but if you've a wi-fi laptop, take it into the lobby or onto the 2nd floor in the atrium and its free (and pretty quick). Only downside, is that the hotel is on a not very smart street a bit away from the main tourist areas. However, it is only a short walk (left out of the hotel & across the road, using an overhead ped. crossing) to the nearest MRT station & then only 1 stop to Asoke for the Skytrain etc...Also, the hotel provides a free shuttle to various places, the best being one to the new train station for catching the express (15 minute) train to the airport. Overall, I would recomment the hotel & would use again myself.
“Caring staff and approach”
Good breakfast with many choices. Free shuttle buses were handy. Staff told taxis to use meter and monitored them. And warned of illegal operators.
“Just a bad experience”
Overcharge for items without letting you know, substandard amenities, needs to be remodled, restraunts were good, but I wouldn't stay there for this. You can get a lot more for your money.
