What I know about " OAKWOOD " is leading International brand in full service apartment, so services and facilities provided are the same as 4 or 5 star hotels standard of service. If you're talking about hotel facilities, sure ! they met this standard but if you're talking hospitality service from their staff, " NO " I don't think so !
When we checked in, they just checked us in and gave us " KEY " . They didn't even tell or guide us where the elevator is ? Where we can have our breakfast or breakfast serve at what time ? They just gave us " This is your room number and your key ! That's it !!! ( Their lobby is a small lobby and you can't see where the elevator is from the lobby.)
Second is I checked out and realized that I perhaps left my account book in the room, so I sent them an enquiry through their official web site. Nobody get back to me. Luckily I got reservation's email, then I sent her to seek her help to pass my message to people concerned. She was so helpful pass my message to ROOM DIVISION and SALES department. You know I still haven't got any response from them till " NOW " Fortunately I've contacted my bank about this lost. So there's nothing missing from my bank account.
Therefore if you are thinking to select this property, yes it is one of a best choice hotel in Bangkok ( if you can look over their staff's service )

The place was nice and the staff were extremely kind, although English was limited. Room was comfortable and clean. Pool was very small and no sun chairs so I did not use it. There were not many guests and I think it was not a great location but Shuttle service to BTS was great.
We stayed at this hotel during the Chinese New Year. Before we arrived, we thought this hotel was a small resort type or hostel type hotel. Right after our van arrived at the front gate, we were amazed by the architectural pretty of this property.
The front office was on the right side. Above, hotel restaurant, where serve Italian dishes, was found. On the left side, there were 3 blocks of hotel buildings.
A "man-made" stream was built in the middle between 2 buildings, where guests could feel the Japanese's Zen atmosphere. The hotel pool was built at the end. The pool was big.
Rooms came with a simple kitchen set, refrigerator, and micro-wave stove. The bathroom was roomy. The sleeping area was roomy as well. If a family travel with 1 child, the family would ask for a extra bed. After the extra bed placed, there was still enough space.
Location was good if travelers had a rental car or had a driver to drive for them because the hotel was a little bit far from the main Bangkok commercial area, and there was no major public transportation such as MRT or BTS. However, in my opinion, this hotel was best suitable for me because I could take a rest.
The hotel provides free transportation from the hotel to the closest shopping center, Paradise Park. The food court there was good. A lot of local dishes were found there. The price was cheap too.
Difficulty conversing with other than 2 staff members due to staff general lack of understanding or speaking English. When they understood what was required were very helpful and could not do enough for me. Room phone not working when I arrived, though replaced immediately. Had booked king size bed, on arrival only twin single bed room available, king size room was available the next day. Room was on 6th floor and comfortably appointed, shower water pressure was poor and pulsed from hot to cold, impossible to get even shower temperature. Had paid for breakfast in tariff, basic but plentiful. Ate one hotel restaurant dinner and was not impressed . Hotel long way from centre of Bangkok. An hours travel by taxi, easy to get taxi into Bangkok, impossible to get one back out unless prepared to pay 2 or 3 times the normal fare, however as I am not a shopper and I was conducting business 100klm out of town on the hotel side of the city staying there was convenient for me. It was my second stay there. My partner will probably accompany me to Thailand next trip so will probably stay more central in Bangkok as she likes to shop.

The hotel has decent spacious rooms and friendly helpful staff. I enjoyed the Thai breakfast options there. The pool is nice and was always deserted so good to have a swim in. Could do with restaurant opening later but there are plenty of decent cheap food options nearby. Gym could do with more stuff in it. Only grumble was the laundry price - way too high for Thailand in a serviced apartment
