“It's where we stay twice a year and always are comfortable”
We go to Banff twice a year for a get-away weekend and each time the staff are warm and welcoming and always accomodating. The rooms are clean and the beds and pillows are comfortable. I'm sure there are 'nicer' hotels in Banff but the Red Carpet provides us with everything we need. Can't wait to go back in June.
“Really nice we will stay there again”
We where satisfied with this hotel & recommend it to anyone else
“Nice little hotel but slightly dated.”
Hotel is slightly dated but more than adequate for travellers. Its by no means a five star hotel but cozy nonethelessS. Located about a gentle 10 minute walk from downtown Banff, the weird thing about this hotel, at least for me, was the sink being in the bedroom as opposed to the bathroom! The free parking seemed limited but once parked, you can leave the car there whilst you explore Banff. A free continental breakfast is limited, but very much appreciated in readiness for your big day ahead!
“Excellent Price for a nice hotel in a nice town”
An excellent value hotel in such a nice town. It’s on the main route through town, with a nice walk through the shopping area to the river, with excellent views of the mountains. The room was large, with coffee making facilities and a range of furniture. The lighting in the room wasn’t brilliant, although once you’d worked on which switch operated which light it wasn’t too bad. The in-room wi-fi worked well, and the complimentary breakfast was fine. My room faced the road, which wasn’t an issue with traffic noise, more with late night revellers returning to their various hotels throughout the night (as late as 3am). The only other niggle was that the in-room radio-alarm clock seemed to have defaulted to midnight (or perhaps someone had set the clock 12 hours out), so it was a surprise to be woken at that hour.
“Clean but nothing special”
I had driven all day and was looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub (the main reason I booked this hotel) however the hot tub was out of order during my stay. No apology was offered for this. Very little parking outside but there was overflow parking underneath the hotel.
“Good hotel to stay for the price.”
Hotel staff very pleasant and aim to please.
“I hated it!”
I hated it. The corridors smelt. On our arrival I waited at the desk to be noticed by an 'older' woman to finish her personal computer game and notice me. The 'hot tub' had a part missing and we were 'allowed' to use the hotel next door. Who wants to walk 150m in the dark with wet hair etc? When enquiring about the bus to Sunshine the same woman told me to read the details on the wall. They were long and tedious and would take time, so I asked if she could just tell me. "I don't have a clue, I don't ski and have no interest in it.' Are you kidding me? READ the details on the wall and as an employee, know for the customer. Our bathroom needed a tube of silicome to be taken to it. Holes in the tiles, ceiling, around the door frame, horrible. My final gripe... Continental Breakfast, are you kidding me? What you should be told is cereal, toast and bad baby muffins. No cheese, cold meat, pastries, nothing..... A real dissapointment and although I stay in Banff at least 10x a year, ti will NEVER be here again. I'd be embarresed to tell anyone I'd been there.
“Red Carpet Inn”
The Red Carpet Inn was very good value for money, and close to Banff centre.
“Great stay”
The hotel is located within walking distance to downtown Banff, so you can leave you vehicle parked and go out on the town. The hot tub is located on the 2nd floor all to itself with windows so you can relax and view the mountains. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
“Not the best, you get what you pay for.”
Not impressed with the hotel as it had very thin walls. we had a group of kids on the floor and we could here everything they were doing. the staff in the day was great but the evening staff was a bit rude. when we inquired about the breakfast time instead of telling us she told us to go and read it on the door. we asked very nicely yet instead of telling us the time she made us go read it from the door for the breakfast room. It was okay as we did not expect much for the price we paid but i wish the staff would have been friendlier. even that make the world of a diffrence.
