“Good Hotel, expensive like all hotels in Lake Louise”

Large hotel with three restaurants, pool, spa, sauna. Price was expensive as are all hotels in Lake Louise. Quality of room was good. Outside fittings and paint need updating. Plenty of parking.

Area recommendations
You must go to Moraine Lake. It is 14 kms away but worth the drive. It is much more spectacular than Lake Louise with 10 peaks surrounding it and the same glacier blue water.

“The worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life”

I am wondering, how this hotel got a three star rating. In calgary, or any place in the world(I have been to many countries around the world), a good hotel provides basic things like tooth past, comb, tooth brush kit for the guests in their hotel during the stay. This hotel never provides anything. When I have requested for the same, the response was unsatisfactory. In Calgary, a motel provides these basic things. The room was small, and not confortable. Lighting was poor. Too much noisy on the passage. Really couldnt sleep well at night. I will never recomend this hotel to anyone.

“Just "okay"”

This is an economy hotel located in a fabulous place. There are not very many accommodation options in Lake Louise, and most of them are quite expensive. The Lake Louise Inn was the cheapest. I stayed in an Economy Twin room. It had a double bed and a murphy bed. the room was very small, but had a full bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable - the murphy bed looked about the quality of your basic sofa bed = not very comfortable either. The carpet was old and worn and stained and the furnishings showed wear and tear also. The room was reasonably clean. I ate 2 meals at the hotel - breakfast buffet at the main dining room and dinner in the pub. Skip the breakfast buffet - $18 for a limited selection and the quality was not good. The dinner in the pub was much better. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. Overall, this is a pretty average hotel. But it is the most economical in Lake Louise, and to be honest you won't spend much of your time in Lake Louise in your hotel room!

Area recommendations
Lake Louise is a tiny village. Everything in the village is within walking distance. The lake itself is about a 5 minute drive up the road. If you want to stay near the lake, then stay at the Chateau or the Deer Lodge. If you stay in the village you will want to have a car so you can get around to the tourist spots.
Must see
There are many "must see" spots in Lake Louise - the lake itself and the Chateau (a much more luxurious accommodation and much more expensive also!) and Moraine Lake are close to the village and beautiful places. There are a lot of hiking options in Lake Louise as well as mountain biking. If you have a car there a couple of scenic places to see up the Icefields Parkway - Bow Lake and Peyto Lake (one of the iconic images of Banff). Yoho National Park is a short drive away from Lake Louise and also has beautiful lakes, waterfalls, and some premier hiking. In particular the Lake O"Hara Alpine Circuit in Yoho is a fantastic day hike. You can't drive to this lake - either get a reservation on the bus or walk the 11km access road, but once you get there it will blow your socks off.

“Ok but expensive for end of season”

Basic room but ok for one night. Would recommend paying extra and going for a room with a balcony if staying for more than one night. The room was far too warm. We stayed on the third floor and there was no elevator to take you to the floor. Hotel restaurant - food was ok but over priced and service was ok. The one pillow felt like it was filled with sharp edges. Just on the outskirts of lake louise - if you can afford more might be worth staying at one of the closer ones to Lake louise or Morraine Lake as would help with parking near the lake the next day. Be warned - go to Morraine lake early otherwise the road may be closed and its an at least a 2 hour hike each way.

“Too petty”

Stayed 1 night, staff was pleasent on arrival, room was OK but not worth the $$ paid. Called front desk as internet required a password, was told that internet was not includes and that all hotels in National Parks do ut this way. I have stayed in many Parks hotels and this is the first that charged for internet. I would think with the price of the room as well as resteraunt food that the hotel could throw in internet. This is a small item, but at the same time it just shows what type of management is in charge. I will never stay aagain.
