“Affordable, nice hotel in an attractoive area”
The hotel was clean and attractive, the room was fine, the staff helpful and the hot breakfast was great! Interesting area with good shops and restaurants.
“A comfortable hotel at a convenient location”
We feel lucky to have stumbled upon the Mount Vernon in our quick search to stay in town. Quiet (yes, even downtown) comfortable rooms, well maintained, in an interesting historic building, in a great neighborhood. We were thrilled to be able to walk to dinner at night, strolling back enjoying the holiday lights. Breakfast downstairs was an added perk. How many hotels have an included cooked breakfast? Recommended!
“Very Pleased”
The room was probably one of the largest rooms I've ever stayed in, and at the price I paid, very pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was huge, as well. Breaksfast was nice-bacon, eggs, cereal, fruit, pastries. The hotel was very convenient to downtown harbor place-the free circulator bus dropped me off just a block from the hotel and the bus back to Harbor place was two blocks away. the bus ride was 10 minutes. The walk would have been maybe 20. I would definitely stay again.

“Extremely Pleased”
The desk staff greeted me warmly. The hotel has a lot of character, and was very clean. The room was very nice. The free breakfast was far superior to that usually offered at other hotels I have stayed at. It always kills me to have to pay for parking, but the rooms are priced low enough to offset that. I was very pleased.
“Great For the Money”
Hotel is located about halfway between Penn Station and the Harbor so you can walk wherever you need to go. Close to bars and we walked to the Baltimore Ravens Stadium with no problem. Breakfast was worth it and when we overslept, reception had a cab waiting for us. Will stay again if in Baltimore.
“Great hotel”
I had a great stay at Mount Vernon. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Price was very reasonable for great location in the middle of downtown Baltimore. Parking was convenient. Morning complimentary breakfast was great - hot meal, more than your usual "continental breakfast."
“Great Location, basic accomodations”
Great location, great service, rooms are basic, food o.k. good value.
“Good Location”
The hotel location is very convenient, just 10 minutes from the inner harbor. Almost directly across the street is the Baltimore Basilica which was amazing. When we arrived at the hotel our room was not available so we were upgraded to a Loft. The room was huge and we were excited until we saw a full size bed. I didnt understand how a room with two floors had a full size bed. The room we booked had a king size. Had the room come with a bigger bed I might have given a higher rating. We also noticed the room was generally clean but there was silly string stuck to the ceiling and and it appeared the room wasnt very well maintained. Nothing terrible a few small things. The parking garage at the hotel was full so we parked across the street for $8.00 which was better than the $15 the hotel charged. They also included a complimentory breakfast which was not bad, it was both hot and cold food. Seating was limited though and it was crowded when we arrived. I would stay there again.
