“Not at all impressed”
I had booked 5 nights at this hotel to attend a meeting at the Convention Ctr nearby. The initial room they provided would barely qualify as a room!!. It had a pull-out bed - a standard size, despite my request of King size and the carpet was beyond terrible. The walls were extremely thin and so I could hear regular conversations from neighbors on either side, not to mention TV. The bathroom sink would not drain and I did not wait to find out any more!! After complaining about the room, they did move me to another room, which was an improvement, but the carpets were still the same as well as the walls (what can you do about that ??) The location, although fairly close to Inner Harbor did not appear safe at all to walk back from the Convention Center, where I was attending a meeting. The connecting walkway was not of much use as the Convention Ctr closed its doors fairly early! Overall, would not recommend.
“Sad hotel in Oct of 2011”
This was probably a really nice hotel in its prime. Right now, it's a little sad and in need of repair and renewal. For instance, the AC unit in my room was alarmingly loud when it kicked in every hour or so--tough for sleep. The room itself was well furnished and clean, though. Also, the cafe is sad. Very few people ate there the times I went. From 12-1 on a Saturday, I was the only one having lunch the entire time.
“Perfect location”
Stayed here for the Baltimore Marathon. It was the perfect location. The staff was extremly friendly . I would stay here again.
“Good Service; Poor Condition”
I booked this hotel online for a conference I was attending. The benefit is that this hotel is in a great location! Connected to the BCC and right at the inner harbor. However, the quality and condition of the hotel for the price paid was grossly mismatched. Exercise facility was great but the rooms were poor. I have heard that travelers who book through travel companies get lower priority and quality rooms; highest goes to those who book directly through the hotel. I have booked on Expedia many times and have never found this to be true, yet I felt it was true this time. The room was small, the carpet was stained, the shower bar was falling off, the headboard did fall off and had to be replaced, there was no counter space in the bathroom , the bathroom was dingy and appeared dirty and the iron and board were in terrible condition. Further, I was assigned to what appeared to be a handicap accessible room (of which I am not), no big deal, but you would think there would be extra space and the accomodations would be good -- this was not the case. However, I do appreciate that they offer a $5 gift card if you forgo getting your room cleaned; granted you can only use it at the grill/pub, but it still is a nice gesture and a step towards more economic and environmental efficiency. For the price I'd try one of the neighboring hotels that may delivery on better quality.
“wish it had a spa”
I was looking forward to getting a massage while I was at the conference and the hotel did not provide spa services. However - the bed and pillows were fantastic! My TV went out twice and within minutes someone came up to fix it. I appreciate that. Orioles sports bar staff were very friendly.
“Sheraton Inner Harbor - Baltimore”
Great experience.
“Closest to Convention Center”
This was a comfortable, clean hotel with easy access to local attractions. It met my needs well on my business trip, however, there is an air of condescension among the staff behind the desk that I didn't appreciate. It left me feeling uncomfotable and I chose to deal with them as little as possible for the rest of my stay. Although it was a perfectly nice hotel, the staff attitude was such a turnoff that I would not recommend it to others and when I return on business, I will be staying across the street.
“Nice for conference or getaway stay”
Recommended by a friend to stay at this location. Perfect spot whether going to Orioles Park @ Camden Yards, view and short walk to the Inner Harbor or nightlife.
“Lovely Hotel!”
Lovely room, great view, close to lots of attractions, very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would stay again.
“Very Convenient”
My wife & I went to see the Red Sox play. The hotel was close to everything. Camden Yards, The Inner Harbor and all surrounding restaurants. Will be going again next year.
