“Good location and affordable”

Very handy location right next to the main train station within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. Nice clean hotel for the money. They gave us a complimentary bus pass when we checked in -- a nice touch. Shower was small but water pressure was great! Pillows smelled a little bit -- might want to refresh them.

Area recommendations
There are some nice shopping areas within walking distance from the train station. Not a lot of restaurants, but we did manage to find a good one with help from hotel staff.

“Just what we needed”

Very central location with view over harbour, close to station, harbour cruises etc. Breakfast not cheap but lots of alternative options in Central Station net door. Even free bus tickets to get around the city.

“Intercity Kiel”

The room was a little small, and the shower door was somewhat confusing to open. However, for the location and price was worth the stay.

“Intercityhotel liegt sehr günstig zur Stadt und zum Bahnhof (auch ZOB).”

Die Zimmer sind neu renoviert. Tolles gut ausgerüstetes Bad. Sehr hilfsbereites Hotelpersonal. Frühstück zu teuer. Wir waren gegenüber dem Bahnhof zum Frühstück zum halben Preis. Zimmer sehr ruhig. Im gesamten tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

“Intercity Hotel Kiel”

Nachteilig war: 1. Im Hotelleingang war extrem schlechter Geruch. 2. Teppichboden im Zimmer war mit Flecken übersät.

“Guenstig am Hauptbahnhof gelegen”

Sehr guenstig am Hauptbahnhof und Stadtnaehe gelegen. Durch Schallschutzfenster sehr ruhig.

“Inter Citiy Hotel Kiel liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs”

Wir waren zum Glück nur eine Nacht in diesem Hotel. Das Badezimmer hatte kaputte Fliesen im Fußboden und die Haare des Vorgängers lagen noch in Massen auf dem Boden! Die Fugen in der Dusche waren schwarz und nicht weiß, überall Schimmel. Flecken waren in der Bettwäsche und die Gardinen waren bestimmt 5 Jahre nicht gewaschen worden. Der Teppichboden war voller Flecken. Ich habe mich wirklich in diesem Zimmer geekelt. Nie wieder!

“Das Hotel war in Ordnung.”

Das Hotel lag nicht zu weit vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Der Weg zum Norwegenkai war auch nicht so weit, da wir dort am nächsten Tag eine Mini Kreuzfahrt antreten wollten.

“1A - vom angrenzenden Bahnhof nichts zu spüren!”

Dieses Hotel kann man nur weiterempfehlen! Die zentrale Lage am Kieler Hauptbahnhof, ZOB und zu den Fähranlegern nach Schweden und Norwegen. Zentraler geht es nicht und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Selbst Nachts geöffnete Fenster kein Problem. Blick auf die Hörn und die Fährschiffe - KLASSE! Alles in nur wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar UND zusätzlich noch Freifahrttickets während des Aufenthaltes für ALLE öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel! TOP!!! Die Zimmer sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet; der Service sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fitness-Center ebenfalls im Preis inbegriffen!!! Wird wieder gebucht - das ist sicher!!!
