“One of our favorite European adventures”

The IFA Rugen was perfect for our family -- right on the beach, convenient to the pool and playground, and near the promenade. We loved it and are planning our next trip! THe room was basic, fully-equipped, and clean.

“Great location for kids”

Couldn't have been happier with location and standard of cleanliness at hotel. We are a family of four and booked at 2 room apartment, not realising that this would mean sleeping on a sofa bed which as my husband is 6, 2" was not ideal. However this would not put us off going back and using this hotel again (small price to pay for ideal location close to beach for kids).

Area recommendations

The actual resort of Ostseebad Binz itself is lovely and only a 10 minute walk down the promenade path (or a relaxing 20 minute walk down the beach which is even safe to do in the dark with torches as there are a few chilled out beach bars to break your walk back!) We also heard the other island of Hiddensee is amazing but did not get the chance to visit this ourselves this time round.

“Eher was für ältere Reisende”

Ich war insgesamt mit dem Hotel Zufrieden, was mir überhaupt nicht gefallen hat war der Wellnessbereich, war nämlich nur umgebauter Keller. Vom Publikum her, nur Rentner. War als Single, anfangs 30, unterwegs und ich würde nicht mehr dieses Hotel besuchen.

“gepflegte Zommer, optimale Strandnähe”

Das Hotel ist bestens für Paare geeignet, die an der Ostsee Ruhe und Entspannung finden wollen. Die Strandnähe verleitet zu langen Spaziergängen am schönen Sandstrand (in der kühleren Jahreszeit) oder zu ausgedehntem Sonnenbaden. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber nicht aufdringlich. Da die Zimmer über einen Kochbereich verfügen, ist Selbstverpflegung gut möglich. Die vielen gatronomischen Einrichtungen des Ortes laden jedoch sehr zum Verweilen ein. Das zur Anlage gehörende Erlebnisbad ist zwar nicht sehr groß, bietet aber genügend Spaß- und Erholungsmöglichkeiten. Eine direkte Verbindung mit dem Haus 3 "Strandidyll" wäre jedoch sehr vorteilhaft, weil man dann das Bad öfter (ohne leidiges Umziehen in der dortigen Umkleide) nutzen könnte. Für eine Kurzurlaub ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen sicher wieder und bringen dann auch noch Freunde mit.

Area recommendations

Der ganze Ort ist sehr schön. Sehenswert ist aber auch die Selliner Seebrücke mit ihren besonderen Flair.

“IFA-Ferienpark Binz”

Wir sind zufrieden gewesen mit unserem Zimmer im Appartmenthaus "Strandidyll". Leider hatten wir das Zimmer auf der "falschen" Seite, d.h. direkt am Eingang mit Blick auf das Parkhaus. Den Balkon haben wir deshalb nicht genutzt. Die andere Seite mit Meerblick wäre schöner gewesen. Die Lage des Hauses ist aber optimal direkt am Strand. Wir hatten ein 2-Zimmer-Appartment mit Küchenzeile, die komplett funktionsfähig war, inkl. Besteck und Geschirr. Frühstück war nicht inbegriffen, aber in unmittelbarer Umgebung sind Bäcker und ein Einkaufsmarkt gewesen.

“Gut, aber etwas weit vom Zentrum weg.”

Das Hotel ist gut und bietet viele Möglichkeiten (Freizeitbad, Farradvermietung, Minigolf, Billard, Kinderanimation, etc.). 20 Min. zu Fuß ins Zentrum ist etwas lang. Allerdings liegt das Hotel, nur von der auto- u. fahrradfreien Strandpromenade getrennt, direkt am Strand.

Traveller's tip

Die Bäderbahn, die direkt vor dem Hotel hält, ist selbst in der Nebensaison überlastet und zu voll. Außerdem fährt sie nur alle 1/2 Stunde. Im Ort selbst findet man schlecht Parkplätze und die, die man findet läßt sich der Kurort gut bezahlen. Am besten mit dem Fahrrad in die Stadt.
