“First timer”
Our overall experience was very pleasant and we enjoyed a relaxing 5 day stay, staff very friendly and helpful. Great location, close to Beach, restuarants and transport.
“Friendly, wonderful accommodation, and not far from the beach”
This accommodation more than satisfied our needs, my huband and I have been regular visitors to Bali, and this was just what the doctor ordered. breakfast daily was light, and eggs done any way you liked them. They are currently upgrading the road to the beach, but a little rough walking is good. the accommodation is lovely and clean, we had the pleasure of staying in both thatched delux room, and a villa, and both were lovely, would definately go back. There is a calmness and sereness that we really needed, the pools are clean, and we spent a lot of time in the pool furtherest from the restaurant.
“Been before, and definately coming back!”
This hotel ain't no massive resort style hotel, however i feel more confortable here like its my own home, than i have in many hotel thati have stayed at. You have a buffet breakfast which you eat by the pool, where my husband has his omlette everyday.. me i have nasi goreng or mie goreng with fresah chilli and fried egg... yummo.. They have 2 pools, the smaller being more like a plunge pool, and then the second being a massive pool, where many a time it was just my husband and I by the pool, it felt like it was just ours. I have discovered thaty most of the rooms/tiny villas have outside bathrooms, which are of an older style. I love them, as they are clean and serve there purpose and seem to have no bugs compared to some of the lux villas i have stayed in Bali. The rooms are air-conditioned and cleaned everyday, and I find myself sleeping very well. The staff are ever so friendly and always helpful. They never skip a beat. Another surprise, and this is nothing about the hotel itself, but the actual people staying in the hotel, always seem to be extremely friendly, and everyone we have met there are happy to have a laugh and good chat, even a drink... or two... by the pool. This really makes it a nice and friendly atmosphere, and makes it for real enjoyable stay. So thanks to Agung and her staff, we'll be back before you know it.
“Great value”
Thisd hotel is situated in the heart of Sanur and yet is a haven of peace and quiet. It is located down a very narrow pot holed lane but if you can get past vthat the hotel is quite delightful and the staff very friendly and helpful.
“A Hidden Gem”
This villa doesn't pretend to be 5 star but had everything we wanted at an incredibly reasonable rate - king size bed (wooden slat base but perfectly comfortable), split system a/c, in room safe, flat screen tv and dvd player, bar fridge and free wi-fi; all this in a charming balinese style villa. Breakfast (also included in our tariff) was buffet style with eggs cooked to order. The range wasn't extensive but there was juice, fresh fruit, pancakes, bacon, toast and spreads, potatoes in one form or another and a couple of asian dishes in addition to the eggs - more than adequate and served at the lovely (covered) outdoor dining area overlooking the gorgeous pool. Staff were all warm, friendly and helpful and the massages in the curtained area by the pool were wonderfully relaxing and unbelievably cheap. Because it is a relatively small complex it was very peaceful and relaxing and we never had trouble getting a lounge by the pool. Puri Ayu is situated down a funny little lane between the main shopping strip and the beach, south of the centre of town. We felt quite safe but the lane is quite dark (and its surface uneven) on returning from dinner at the beachside restaurants - a little torch would have been helpful. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance - Jejeg and Double D were our favourites. Had an unfortunate experience with a money changer in the main st, then found the villas offered an excellent exchange rate. A little piece of paradise.
“A small yet beautiful, relaxing and friendly group of villas.”
We were blown away with the quality of the Villa Puri Ayu considering the low price we paid for our stay! The buffet breakfast by the pool was lovely and the fact that it wasn't a huge resort made it so relaxing and peaceful. A massage and manicure along side the pool was also convenient and added to the charm. We would defintately stay there again, next time for longer. We split our time between the Villa Puri and a 5 star resort in Tuban but to be perfectly honest, was disappointed with what we got for our money at the 2nd place. It didn't seem nearly as relaxing and laid back as our stay in Sanur.
“Would definitely go back for another stay in this Balinese villa.”
If you want to get away from the chaos of Kuta, head for Sanur which has it all, good food, nice beaches, reasonable shopping, great massages on the beach for 50000 rupiah and very close to the usual tourist attractions such as Ubud, Tanah Lot, temples and the scenic coastal area of east Bali.
“Would certainly go back”
Hotel was very clean but perhaps a little TLC would be in order re curtains, lampshades and furniture. No hot water out of the sink taps same with other guests. No problem with the Shower both hot and cold. Free use of internet and bicycles was good plus they had a great library. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and the road to the beach was constantly flooded and in a very bad state. Hotel advised it was council who were responsible and advised using access to beach via Hotel Sanur Beach next door.
“good base in Senur”
very punctual. organised tours and transport well. rooms have ample airconditioning. central to many restaurants and walks along the beach. hard to find for the first time.
“Very good small hotel”
