The villas are in a great location (just meters from the main drag but still very quiet).
The thing that distinguishes Amana villas from others is the superior service offered by its staff. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and were more than happy to offer advice on things to see and do.
The breakfasts were delicious - we recommend trying some of the Asian breakfast items and the tasty juices.
We stayed in the standard villa with private pool and found it a little on the small side so upgrade to the bigger villas if that's going to bother you. In saying that, the size didn't really bother the two of us and we'd definitely stay here again!
There is some building works going on next door which we understand are due for completion in March. Noise from the works was minimal in villa 102 but staff offered us a complementary service as compensation which is always welcome :)
Some of the other nice touches; free drop off services, bday cake for my partners bday, little gift such as biscuits, drink n cake on arrival, use of iPad and iPod, strong wifi signal.
We didn't use the villas spa service so can't comment on that!

Absolutely fantastic..with professional service....I would recommend to anyone going to Bali and ooooh not forgetting your own private pool... The service we received during our stay was above and beyond....
We had a very enjoyable stay in our villa for 5 nights. We had all that we needed, the breakfasts were delicious; the staff courteous and charming and the location was perfect for the beach, restaurants and transport readily available when needed. We would definitely go back and miss the lovely villa we stayed in with it's own private pool.
It is outside of the main hubbub of Ubud, instead of cars and crowds of tourists you are surrounded by gardens and terraced rice patties. The villas are immaculate and so special. The indoor/outdoor living quarters and plunge pool combine comfort and luxury to make you never want to leave. There is a free shuttle bus to take you to Ubud and back throughout the day. But with a setting like Villa Semana, you might just want to stay. Things to enjoy on site: restaurant, pool, spa, creek, private tour of local village and rice patties. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on room comfort instead of 5 is that the bed was quite firm. Nevertheless, I'll be back. Loved it.

When you step into hanging gardens it's like visiting your maternal first cousins who haven't seen you in 10 years and are eagerly awaiting your arrival. Everybody and I mean everybody is amazing, everything is amazing from the moment you arrive... even the noisy gecko (whom was our neighbour). Saying that you then won't want to leave and when you do you will yearn to stay more. It's more breathtaking than the pictures, sounds as well as the sights. There are no superlatives worthy of it. However if I was to break it down, paradise wouldn't be far off and I'm sure it's the envy of every architect or humming bird that hasn't yet discovered it. There should be a patent on this place. Luxury in the forest. Thank you for a wonderful time I doubt I will ever experience such greatness again, unless I return.
"Lovely villa with private pool and amazing staff!"
We loved our stay at Nyuh Bali Villas - the staff without exception all went above & beyond to be very helpful & friendly.
The villa was serviced very well and efficiently, the staff dropped us to Seminyak square and to restaurants in the vicinity and even came & picked us up after dinner - great service!
We ate at some amazing 5 star restaurants that leave many Autralian restaurants lacking! Super impressed with the food and service at places like Sarong, Barbacoa, Mamasan and there are definitely nice places to have breakfast/brunch and not feel like the food is dodgy - the coffee on offer in a lot of the good cafés is fantastic!
The private pool was just the best thing, no one bothered us and so we were able to have a very relaxing and romantic holiday which was amazing.
The outdoor shower was a real treat, early in the morning in balmy temperatures in the gorgeous garden, or in the evening with the garden all beautifully lit - it was so beautiful.
Would definitely return to Nyuh Villas in the future.
