Close to everything. Miss the Hotel
We have been going to this Hotel every 5 years since 1996, and never a complaint now however I am dissapointed at the sad state of the place and the staff that have no Pride in their Jobs anymore. They are taking TOP DOLLAR without the personal touches that made them special and wanted you to return.Their was Never any pool towels you had to go to the other pool and if lucky they may have had one or two. Pool always empty by 4oclock Breakfast cold Birds helping there self off the counters Cook that cooked the eggs had to be asked to wear gloves as he was touching his nose and face. Rubbing his face with the spatular then cooking with it. MY family and I decided on Poached eggs after that.

Very courteous, helpful and smiling staff. Guest is greeted with a bad pungent smell (like a dirty carpet smell) entering the main lobby that really puts you off!!! Bathroom door's paint is peeling off. I stayed in two rooms, #1423, & 1414. Both rooms the carpet as you enter is very dirty. It appears that the maintenance dept. of the hotel is just not bothered of what they have to do. Please attend to these minor points if you need to attract customers.

Poor Hotel
The hotel is very jaded. It needs a refurbishment badly. The air conditioner in my Premier Room sounded like a jet engine and needed maintenance as it was not doing it's job properly. It was not cold. It may have had a 4 star rating 20 years ago but certainly not now.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. The hotel is conveniently located, ~10 minutes from the airport and has a beautiful scenic private beach. Clean and nicely maintained, staff is courteous and proactive. Overall, great value for money!

Best part of hotel were the website photos. Room was very dated, unstocked mini bar, noisy, insufficient split system air cond, phone not connected. Resort had the feel of a suburban motel, certainly not an international resort.

Great 3day break
We arrived early so we sat by the pool. We went to see at 12pm if our room was ready and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a garden bungalow after only paying for a deluxe room as the the hotel was fully booked. The resort is quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was fantastic especially the croissants. The staff were all friendly.

Traditional Balinese style hotel in good location near Kuta but just far enough away to be out of the night club area. Lovely staff, great food at reasonable prices. Pools are great too and always surprised how quiet it is around the pool. You will not need to fight for a lounge.

Good option for Kuta
Very good location, a bit away from Kuta crowds but within short walking to main shops and eating places. Direct access to the beach. Staff is friendly and was very quick to respond to all our needs. Good selection of hotel bars and nice views on sunset.

First time to Bali
As a retired couple we found this hotel to our liking. A quiet location but only a short walk to shops and restaurants. The grounds were pleasantly laid out and well kept. The two large swimming pools offered ample opportunity for swimming and water play. The staff were always friendly and courteous. We were on the lookout for things to do for our grand children. This hotel had only a small swing set and a table tennis table and no kids club. Hotel evenings were quiet, a musical duet played in the front bar but there were not many customers. A buffet breakfast was included in our deal, plenty to eat, and no Bali belly problems.

It's the small things that make for happy guests.
Checked into hotel, went and had a swim, came back to room just to get changed, went out for dinner, came back exhausted, put the room key in the power slot, and pretty much flopped into bed. During the night we both woke many times, feeling hot and stuffy. I had a few goes at trying to fiddle with the air conditioner remote, things were changing, yet I could not get the compressor to kick in with cold air ... the best I could get was the fan to blow harder - to at least try and get the air in the room to move around more. At check out, I told them to note down that the air conditioner was not working - that it was not cold - and that we didn't sleep very well because of it. So I asked if it was possible to get a small Bintang for me, and a can of Diet Coke for my wife, as compensation for the air conditioner not working ... just to help have a cool off after our walk earlier, pack-up, and check out. After the check in counter staff made a few phone calls, what was the reply ..."I'm sorry sir, but the General Manger said no, you cannot have a drink as compensation". Why they had to ask the GM is beyond me (someone else should have been able to handle this very basic request), but I really don't think we were asking for much. They have now burnt us as a customer, we will never go back again. Note to management - always remember, it's the small things that make for happy guests.

Good Hotel for Older People and Families
The hotel is very nice. It has a private beach and the location is ok. Close to the Kuta bar/restaurant scene but not right in the middle of it. If you expect to see a young people, find another hotel. This one is mostly occupied by older couples (60 year olds plus). The room I had was large and comfortable. The sheets were dirty when I arrived but after I called they replaced them. Other than that everything looked clean. Good hotel for what you pay but next time I will stay closer to the action.

Lovely, well maintained older and softer property
This is a well maintained older property. I like the softness of an older and well maintained property. This it is my preferred type of hotel because there is a generous amount of grounds, and the foliage have matured and stabilized. It faces south west and you can view the sunset from the beach. Even though it sits in the middle of the tourist belt, it is set well away from the busy streets. The result is a quite peaceful retreat. So you can have the cake and eat it: A quite retreat, and the convenience of being in town. The staff is generally competent and gracious. I would have liked it better if the hotel proactively try to engage their guests, proactively help the guest get more out of their Bali experience. This I think is lacking in most of my hotel experiences. I am looking for a little more engagement to makes my experience exceptional.

My Bali stay at Kuta
Very helpful staff. Hotel is conveniently located and yet away from city noise. About 20 minutes walk from Legion street. Breakfast spread was adequate though not lavish. Breakfast variety needs improvement. On checking-in, my room though made up but appeared dirty with last lady guests hair on the floor and in the dresser. Two wall sockets in my room not working. Hotel is beginning to show signs of age otherwise overall experience very good.

Santika- a little gem
It was our fourth visit to Bali , and the best. Our friend recommended Santika hotel and we were not disappointed. Location is perfect- close to everywhere. Hotel has beautiful gardens, staff is amazing-polite, helpful and room(we chose premier) was huge and clean with nice cozy veranda.At breakfast we had big choice of continental and local food ( tasty and always fresh).We definitely will go back there.

Great stay
Not the first stay at this hotel and would certainly stay again. It is close to airport, Waterbom Park and Discovery Shopping Centre. Staff are eager to please and cannot do enough to make you welcome. Rooms are a little old, but extremely comfortable. Choice of two pools and four hours of happy hour a day are fantastic. It is close enough to walk into Kuta but far enough away so you are not bothered by the noise. Hotel is away from the road so there is no road noise and fronts the ocean.

I had stay at this hotel previously, so I took my 87 yrs old mum for 5 days to Bali. The staff were very good and helpful and gave me a room that was very convenient on the lower ground, outside the swimming pool. Location was excellent, but the sellers outside on the walk way were most annoying and even followed us back to our hotel still trying to sell things when clearly was told No. We even stopped going on the waterfront to Discovery. Thanks to all for passing on message of my mum.

hotel is in walking distance to nearby shopping district but at the same time away from all the noise. it has access to quieter area of beach at the back of the hotel so it was nice. if staying at deluxe room, do request for first floor as 2nd floor room seems more run down both in terms of furnishings and bedding (the bed creaks when i try to get up or down! and sheets look old!). service staff were accomodating enough to entertain a room change request tho housekeeping actually left our room door ajar after cleaning up! fortunately we didnt lose anything. the swimming pool is really nice

Santika Hotel South Kuta
This was a fabulous hotel. The staff were all super friendly, helpful and courteous. The breakfast was amazing and the service superb. The pools were both very clean and had ample room. It was very close to walk to Discovery Mall. The pools both had swim up bars and complementary swimming noodles for the guests. The beds were huge and could have fit 4 people in them. There was also free wifi or for those who did not have their own computers there was a free internet room. Overall a great hotel. One that I will definetly go back to again.

Booked this hotel, b/c of it's close location to the airport & that they have their own beach on Kuta. We really liked it. We loved our room which was on the swimming pool. The rate was very good $161/night includes breakfast buffet & Internet wifi, which works great. Their breakfast buffet had good selection too & the waitress were very attending! The location was great the hotel has its own private beach & u can stroll down The main street of Kuta to many restaurants, the discovery mall & the water park are few blocks away, so is the tourist markets! The only downside was the rooms were little dated & so was the hotel in general, but I think this is true about everywhere here in Indonesia. They don't have very good maintenance system. They rather build new hotels or malls instead of maintaining the old ones & that adds to the traffic problem in this country! Tips: Remembered 10 years ago during last trip to Bali that all the beaches were great like the ones in Hawaii, I was rather disappointed this visit b/c we barely see the beach from the street b/c the building seems to be on the top of each other. Kuta beach is no longer nice white sandy & clean beach. So if ur main interest is the beach U might want to go further such ad in some areas of Nusa Dua or even further like different islands of Bali. We also noticed the traffic, it's getting as bad as in Jalarta!

Booked this hotel, b/c of it's close location to the airport & that they have their own beach on Kuta. We really liked it. We loved our room which was on the swimming pool. The Serene Santika
Fabulous serene surroundings. Lovely gardens so that you never know you are in the middle of Kuta. Great sunets to watch from their Sands beach bar. Loved staying there and will be where I stay every time I go to Bali.

Hotel was a bit old. Pool excellent but a little out of the way from the beach. Gardens very pretty. Staff service very good and friendly. Breakfast buffet excellent. Good position of the hotel. Out of the main busy kuta area but within walking distance to the Discovery Shopping Centre. Located right on the beach. Quiet hotel if you want to just laze around.

Very friendly Hotel with excellent staff
On our arrival we were greeted at reception with a cold towel and a juice. The only flaw was a mouldy smell when we first arrived in our room (we had a deluxe ground floor room), however, this was not noticed after the first night (maybe the room had not been aired for a while). The deluxe rooms are fairly basic, but the bed was a kingsize and was extremely comfortable. The shower is a bath/shower combination. The deluxe rooms are in the middle of the property so there is no noise from the street. All of the staff (even the gardeners) were super friendly, always wishing us a good morning . They even greeted us by name at breakfast (at the time there were probably 500 guests at the hotel). We had massages in the Samantha Spa, and while there are probably a lot cheaper massage places in Bali, the ambience, cleanliness, privacy and masseurs were excellent. They have a happy hour in the spa between 1 o'clock and 3 o'clock so we managed to have two massages for the price of one (we went three times). The gardens are beautiful, and the pools were well maintained. There is an internet room and wireless internet is also available in the rooms. We had meals in the bar/restaurant behind the lobby and also in the Sands restaurant on the beachfront. The meals are really cheap by Australian standards. The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now and have enjoyed each experience.What I do like is the fact it does not seem to attract too many families with children which suits adults who want to escape them.It is a lovely pool and staff are always on hand to offer drinks and nibbles.There is also a lovely cocktail bar overlooking the beach which has a great happy hour.Breakfast is amazing and you are well looked after by friendly staff.It is quite busy out the front when you leave the hotel ie; markets ,taxis etc but hey that's Bali.....

Beautiful resort on a nice part of Kuta Beach
The Santika Premiere was a beautiful, relaxing place nestled in between the craziness of Kuta and its traffic, and the 15-km stretch of sand known as Kuta Beach. The resort was well-run and maintained, the room was excellent but not exceptional, the staff friendly and the premises beautiful. We ended up staying at a different resort later on during our trip (a long, complicated itinerary for various reasons) and found ourselves missing the charm of Santika versus a big, utterly-American resort chain (i.e. the Holiday Inn). Basically, if you're looking to be very close to the interesting part of Kuta Beach -- not so far south in Tuban where it gets dirty and ill-maintained, not so far north into Kuta and Legian where it gets extremely crowded -- this is where the action is. If you like surfing, the board rental shops are about 1km north on the beach a couple or resorts away, towards Discovery Mall.

なくなってしまうのが残念…
エアポートリーフに近いこのホテルの立地は今回の私たちの滞在には最高でした。クタ地区のホテルがモダン化する中でバリらしい素敵な庭と雰囲気を持っているこのホテルが大変気に入りました。改装のために取り壊されてしまうのがとっても残念です。新しくなってもバリらしさを残す素敵なホテルになってくれるといいですが…

バリでは、いつも宿泊させていただいてます。 いつも、のんびり癒される空間が最高です。 古さはありますが、これがまた良く、いつまでもこの景観が残ってくれることを期待してます。 マネージャーさんの心配りや、スタッフさんのサービスは最高です。

고즈넉하면서도 우아한 호텔
너무 현대적이지도 않고, 오래된 고전미와 세련된 양식을 자랑하는 산티카호텔, 내년엔 전면 재공사 들어간다고 하는데, 전 오히려 지금 그대로 유지하는게 더 나을 것 같단 생각이 들어요. 모든 호텔들이 다 현대화되기 보단 산티카 만의 고전미가 훨씬더 경쟁력있어요.

古いですが、良いホテルでした。美しいビーチに面しており、パラソルの下でのんびりするには最適です。到着時、車から旅行ケースを出してくれず、3人いたベルボーイは見ているだけ、私がタクシー料金を払っている間に妻が下ろしました。きちんと教育すべきです。

sans hésitation
endroit calme et reposant, entouré de verdure. proche de la tumultueuse ville de kuta, un petit coin de paradis qu'il faut découvrir absolument. pratique puisqu'il est à 5min de l'aéroport en voiture, 5 min du centre de kuta à pied. piscines très agréables et accès à la plage. le personnel toujours souriant et à votre écoute. petit déjeuner agréable, service de blanchisserie rapide et pas cher. bref, que du bonheur !!
