“Mid Range OK”

For a mid-range hotel it is satisfactory, getting a bit dated now & in need of re-furbishment to give it a lift and make it more appealing. The facilities were of a good standard, but below that of a top hotel/resort

“Great Hotel On The Beach”

Very nice rooms with views to the pool and beach. The pool is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed the happy hour drinks. I would be very happy to holiday here again.

Area recommendations
Nusa Dua is lovely for relaxing and doing water sports but the shopping and night life is better in Kuta

“Great with a few serious problem”

Arrived early and were allowed to check in early. Location is in a nice and quiet part of Bali. Hotel has huge spacious common areas, extremely clean and breezy. Rooms are good size, housekeeping does good job in cleaning them. Staff is warm and welcoming, friendly. Serious problem 1: the spring mattresses are old, some of them sagging, so nothing for people with backache! We changed rooms, but not significantly better in second room. Not a big problem are mosquitoes --- only few make it into your room, the staff offers to spray the room, which we always rejected and still we were bitten rarely. Serious problem 2: uncontrolled stray dogs at the beach and in hotel vicinity. Danger of acquiring rabies. The breakfast is decent, but it can get a bit boring if you stay longer. Overall a good experience, good value for the money, but for top ratings the serious problems need to be addressed.

“Definitely visiting again!”

The hotel was average, but good value for the price we paid. There wasn't a lot in the area so we tended to catch a cab to other areas most days, but that didn't cost much money. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful even if their English was limited at times. Breakfast was fairly mundane but it was sufficient to fill us up for the day. We also ordered room service twice. The first time they got the order wrong but fixed it quickly after we advised them and they added a complimentary drink and apologised profusely. There was a show on in the evenings which was good, but maybe a little noisy if you're trying to get kids to sleep. We would probably return if it was in a busier area, however I think we are more likely to stay somewhere like Kuta next time.

Area recommendations
Kuta was great - vibrant, busy with lots of shopping, eating and leisure options. Nusa Dua Beach was beautiful but the shops were a little further away and less variety. The vendors in Nusa Dua seem a little less pushy than in Kuta so maybe a good place to get the hang of bargaining if you're new to the game. Ubud was beautiful - trees, rainforests and rice paddies. The surrounding villages looked really interesting. I would love to have spent some more time here exploring.

“Comfortable, nice staff, but not good food”

Friendly staff that always made sure you were comfortable and happy. Bell boy was very helpful in showing us everything in our room, and where to find most things. Our first room's aircon was not working properly, but the front desk staff was accommodating providing us with a new room. Wait staff at all eating and drinking places were very nice and accommodating. The food was very disappointing and not much variety. The staff was hard to communicate with at times, as some staff do not speak or understand English. Chopsticks restaurant was the best meal and service we had while staying here. The pool and beach access was average with average views of the ocean. Cab ride to Kuta and the airport were around $80000 Indonesian ($8 AUS) and I recommend only using the blue bird taxi company.

Area recommendations
Depending on what type of holiday you plan on spending. Nusa Dua was a nice relaxing part of Bali away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. Kuta is the center of Bali with all the shopping, night clubs, main beach and restaurants. Ubud is an inner city with the monkey forrest and more shopping/restaurants and also close to some of the rice fields. The main diving sites are Tulamben and Menjangan which are a 3 and 4 hour ride from Kuta. Sanur is another nice location near a golf club. Hope this helps.

“will be back”

older hotel in great location right on the beach, food included was ok but plenty of restaurant around if you prefer to eat out. Hotel staff Very helpful and friendly. Room great but a little old but nothing to complain about. Air con works well. Will be back

“Value for money!”

The Club Mirage is an excellent place for a quiet getaway. They have excellent facilities & regular programmes to keep the entire family entertained. Nice location & extremely friendly staff.

“Great family escape!”

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. We (family of 4, 2 adults 2 children) had a great time. The staff were really lovely - genuinely happy and very attentive. The all inclusive package was terrific quality and value. The food was plentiful, lots of variety and very tasty. Breakfast had a lot of choice - nice fresh fruits etc as well as continental items and traditional british cooked breakfast. Lunch was great too. Lots of choices - many fresh salads, soup, and at least 6 main dishes and gorgeous desserts to choose from that catered for every taste. My husband and I enjoyed the local dishes Nasi Goreng etc (rice and noodles). We've got a fussy son but no one was disappointed as many items to suit every palate. The dinner menu was excellent too. Outside dining near the pool was lovely - BBQs and a Mongolian night were fun. Despite reviews we read before going we thought the hotel and our room were fine. Our room had lovely views of the ocean, pool and gardens - we usually request a room move but didn't need to! There was lots to do - a daily package of pool activities as well as kayaking and snorkeling - we were taken by boat out to a coral reef . Also cooking demos, fruit carving wood carving tennis etc. Will definitely go back. I'm missing the long lazy lunches by the pool already - "another glass of wine madam" - why not?!

Area recommendations
Bali collection - a posh local shopping centre was nice for an evening muse. Free bus although the taxis cost peanuts!
