Amazing stay, great service, relaxing environment
Highly recommend this hotel! I stayed for one week to work remotely and enjoy Bali. The set-up is perfect to work by the pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful, food is great, the pool view rooms are lush to relax and have a wonderful view. I had an accident and the staff even helped me at 3am. I would always come back to Taum.

The room is big, but its quite old. The room i checked in got problem with AC, we couldn’t sleep well, cos it was not cold enough due to the hot weather in bali, but We have told the receptionist and they sent the team engineer to check, it started a bit colder, but still not cold enough for a good sleep though,

We arrived at around 11.00 am, and were given a room as quickly as possible despite the check-in time being 3.00 pm. The studio room was very spacious with a pool view. A tree actually blocked the pool view partially, but it was good for us as we could just lay on the veranda bed and look at the sunset. The pool opens from 6.00 am - 9.00 pm so was very enjoyable. There's quite good food at the restaurant. They also have a free shuttle to the beach, and we used that for going to the Petitenget Seminyak beach. Grabcar ride back to the hotel from the beach was IDR 20K only. All in all, this was a pretty good value for money.

good location, but the room conditions are really bad. the bathroom is old and completely run down. I had a army of ants running through my entire room and even on the bed head where I slept. Bed sheets and bathroom towels were dirty and stained.

The food was unsatisfactory. I paid extra for the breakfast buffet and there was very little choice (mainly asian breakfast). My room had several windows with no blinds so the room was not dark. The room was also very noisy without any soundproofing. The room had a stove but they only provided 1 pan and wooden spoon, no plates or cutlery.

The pool area is fairly well kept however the decking was wobbly. The room we had was horrible, the bathroom looked dirty, the air conditioning was broken a few times, a few light globes were broken, the curtains have got a few small holes, towels were old, the bath shower had no curtain and the bath looked so mouldy, no shower gel (just water inside the shower gel dispenser). Throughout the hotel looks deserted. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel and wouldn’t go back. Once is enough! The staffs were friendly and helpful though.

The room is super dusty and dirty,lots of mosquitos and the room is dark not enough lighting. Bed cover not so clean the fridge is dirty just dirty room lots of stained etc etc I checked in 10pm and I can’t wait to leave and check out the next day ASAP and moved to different hotel . Just not comfortable in this hotel room. I do not recommend at all this hotel to others . I’m sorry !

Photos of the room on the website were nothing like what we got, the rooms are very run down and our private pool was defiantly not private. The blinds didn't go up, the kitchen had the very basic items no kitchen towel or anything to clean the dishes with. The staff however were great and very friendly, making sure we had what we needed.

Most rooms do not have a view. Most have a balcony with a Sunbed but the only view you get is “the wall”. I paid a little bit extra and booked the pool view room, totally worth it! Taum Resort is grear vslue for money.

This was the second time we have stayed at Taum, whilst our stay was very nice and the staff were amazing, we found our 2 bedroom room to be less than appealing compared to the first time we stayed. There were constantly mosquitos in the rooms, and lights in the wardrobes that didnt go out which made it difficult to sleep.

A large amount of the building looks very weathered (mouldy, broken, dirty), the pool had a huge amount of broken tiles and the timbered outdoor flooring was very broken and smashed up. Whilst staying at Taum our room wasn’t cleaned on 3 seperate occasions and when it was cleaned there were always things missing (bottles of water, towels etc) We stayed at Taum this time around as we knew from the first time that it was a good cheap hotel. We now know that’s it’s just cheap. Would recommend staying elsewhere for a similar price.

Staff and customer service exceeded our expectation. The location of the hotel is central, and it makes it so easy to get around. You're in walking distance to some of the best resturants in Seminyak either to the north, west or south of the hotel. Some great cafes across the road also. The resort facilities were good, without being great. The breakfast buffet was good, (without being great) and could have had a bit more of a selection. The pool is good, getting a little tired though with some loose tiles etc. if you're into sun bathing, the pool is excellent until about 2.00pm, and it then gets shadowed with the afternoon sun. Not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of. Gym is small, but for a quick workout, it's OK. I would say that the customer service, is very good, and they were friendly, and always very responsive, so a big thanks to the Taum team. Lastly, I found the beds very high quality too. I slept well each night - so they must have been good.

Not bad - but needs basic improvements
I stayed here over new year with another couple - we had two rooms - mine had a pool facing balcony which was nice. The room was large, although the condition was looking a little tired. The room safe worked. The air con wasn’t very cool (living in Asia I know how cool air con can be). The door lock wasn’t reliable - the key card failed to unlock on more than one occasion - my friends were locked out of their room for over 30 minutes.. the bed was relatively comfortable, the quality of the plumbing wasn’t amazing - taps moved when they shouldn’t. The room service plates from two days previous were still outside my room on departure. The bathroom was full of small black flies (not mosquitos) - we have them in Malaysia - and a small dose of pesticide is needed from time to time to keep them at bay. The soap dispensers were empty in both rooms for the duration of the stay. The tissue boxes when empty would be refilled with 2-3 tissues. It all felt as though they were dramatically cost cutting at the expense of the guests. The WiFi was intermittent. But the view to the pool in my room was nice. The staff on reception were friendly - but had an overall impression of this hotel being just ok. The area being the tourist centre could get quite busy - so getting around was better by foot - taxis took a lifetime to arrive and drive through the streets. Would I stay again? If these minor improvements were addressed maybe - but for now it’s a no from me.
