“Very comfortable stay”
This was a well priced and comfortable hotel. The pool was small but a big hit with my kids. The room was very nice and spacious and clean. The staff were great.
“Not impressed”
The hotel is poorly laid out. The walls are very thin and you can hear sounds from others. The breakfasts, so called, are a testament to poor eating habits.
“Excellent Hotel”
Bakersfield was just a stopover for us on our way to Las Vegas and only stayed one night but the hotel was excellent, the breakfast was the best that we received in any hotel we stayed in in America including the Bellagio in Vegas, we could not get in any of the local restaraunts probably because it was Valentines Day and ended up in the local H ooters, the only drawback is the area around the hotel is a bit commercial but if in the area again I would definitely stay there, the staff were exceptionally helpful and the hotel was very easy to find.
“toilets need attention”
For a Marriott it was good but not great as it should be. Major problem with the toilet but not aware until morning, so unable to change rooms.
“Bakersfield's BEST”
We were very pleased with the lay out of the room as in walking into a living room instead of directly into a bedroom. It was very clean, neat and comfortable. We asked for a room on the first floor and got what we asked for--that doesn't always happen at other hotels.
“Very Good Overnight Stay”
We wanted a good, clean family hotel as an overnight stop on the way to Disneyland and that is exactly what we got. The suites are in exactly the same location as all the other new hotels in Bakersfield. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully clean. Even though there were lots of families staying there, we had a quiet night's sleep. We ate at the Angus Steakhouse which was in walking distance and had a very creditable breakfast included in the price of the stay. Overall, this was the perfect, good value, clean and friendly overnight stay. No surprises, just good service and good value. Thank you very much to all the lovely staff! I would definitely do the same stop-over again.
“bakersfield with a toothache”
altho i had a to othache, this hotel was really nice. i have three kids and we ha d2 double beds and a foldout couch, perfect for the family. the breakfast was more than expected, better than the usual sweet rolls and toast. highly recommended. inenxpesive. would stay again. will look for other springhill suites on future trips.
“Good value and close to our route.”
The hotel is situated in a complex with several other hotel propertes. We went to a "Black Angus" restaurant that was a five-minute walk away but there didn't appear to be too many other restaurant choices nearby. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable.
“First Class hotel!”
We actually stopped at the wrong hotel first.. there is another Marriott on the same street.. so keep going ..it is better. We were welcomed when we arrived, the suites are fantastic, very roomy and clean. The pool & spa area is also very nice. The workout room is quite small, but has all you'd need to keep up while away. The breakfast was fabulous.. with make your own waffles, sausage, eggs, muffins, bagels, cereal and more.. definitely something for everyone. Coffee in the lobby 24 hrs a day.. a nice small shop in the lobby for snacks/treats.. if you get a craving in the middle of the night.. it's also open all night long. We would most definitely stay here again and plan to stay at Marriott hotels more often.
“Great hotel for the money.”
The hotel was very clean, including the lobby and our room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and comfortable. We used the indoor pool late in the evening. It is heated and we enjoyed it, especially my 4 year old daughter. The jacuzzi just outside but just a few steps out a door off the pool. No problem since the jacuzzi itself is nice and warm. Not too hot or cold but, perfect temperature. John's Incredible pizza is close by and a fun place to hang out. The breakfast is nice too. You can make your own waffle and/or egg mcmuffin. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other guests looking for a nice, clean, comfortable, affordable place to stay in Bakersfield.
